205Which Krytox? I see 205, 206, etc...?
Thx, I'll check that out too...I've had the same problem and used the Krytox, but also saw someone here use Teflon tape applied to the top of the tail gate. I tried it and it worked like a charm. My Wrangler had the same issue and it fixed that as well.
This is the description of what I used on Amazon, not sure how to post the link.
3M 5430 PTFE/UHMW Tape, 0.5" width x 5yd length (1 roll)
It sounds like the sound you're hearing might be different then mine. The creaking sound l hear goes away if l leave the window up with tailgate closed. Hope you figure out whats going on with your Bronco, tho...Ok tried the lube, didn’t work. Tried the fabric tape across the sealing surface of the tailgate, didn’t work. Drove with the glass up and still got the ticking so it has nothing to do with the surface where the tailgate meets the glass. Took off the spare…ticking went away 10000%!!! So I’m now troubleshooting that aspect. The weight of the spare is causing the tick somehow. Just need to pinpoint where. Will keep y’all updated.
I put that stuff on and it worked like a charm. The sound is about 95% gone. Killer! Thx for the recommendation!I just bought it-gonna give it a shot on the wknd. Seems like it should solve it.

I’ve been having the same problem on my 4-door hard top. Just like you, I experimented a short drive with the glass rear window flipped up and no noise. I’m going to try the brush seal like you did. Thanks for posting about your problem and solution.I put that stuff on and it worked like a charm. The sound is about 95% gone. Killer! Thx for the recommendation!
I just took mine to Crossroads Ford in Apex, NC last Friday and they resolved my issue. They lubricated the rubber seal that lines the bottom of the rear liftgate where it meets the tailgate.Hey there! If you send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info, I can look into your noise concern on my end.
