S23 ultra. No problems so far.

I have to disable my VPN if I want it to connect wirelessly. but if I hard wire the VPN can stay on.

Issues intermittently on phone calls, Samsung Fold. No audio on call pickup. Have to switch to handset then back to wireless and it works.

Music streaming work flawlessly.

I have a Pixel 7 and have run into a couple issues with Android Auto wireless not initially connecting but I'm 90% sure it's a phone problem as I've also had it happen with other vehicles. No issues whatsoever while running. I have a periodic audio hitch with the older Ford Sync system in the Bronco Sport but I'm pleased to report that there are zero audio hitches on this system. It's also very responsive compared to any other infotainment system I've used.

Samsung Z Flip4 - Android 13, only issue now is that music will randomly pause for a second or two. It might do it twice an hour or ten times. It does it wired or wireless.

Before the last couple of updates, both Sync and Android, it would dial a call but I could not hear the person I called. I'd have to hang up and dial again. That has been fixed.

Works flawlessly in any vehicle except my Bronco.
Bronco and phone have most recent updates.

First call always goes through but no sound on my side.
Music skips to a new song in the middle of current song.
Almost every drive, starts play a second source simultaneously.
Map constantly goes black and a box pops up asking to retry.

I had no sync issues before the update that gave full screen capability.
Been total ass since

Pixel 6a / Android 14

Android Auto (wireless) works just well enough to continually give me hope, while simultaneously sucking all the joy from me at the worst possible times. 3-4 days of it working, then 1-2 days of it locking up, not responding, not connecting, etc. Rebooting the phone doesn't help, rebooting the head unit doesn't help. No updates for SYNC could have something to do with it, as I'm stuck at 4.0.23130 even thought it's scheduled and connected to wifi daily. And yes, I've tried all the tricks to force an update.

In the last couple of weeks, I've given up and just use the radio. If I'm going out of town I can usually get the wired option working well enough.

And for reference, Android Auto (wired) works perfectly, every time, in my wife's Kia. So I'm gonna keep blaming Ford.

pixel 7 pro and now my pixel 8 pro and it's been pretty flawless running android auto wireless. i've had exactly 1 time in 6 months where it didn't want to connect for whatever reason. rebooting the phone fixed it right away.

Data so far clear as mud. Seems that pixels mostly but not always work well, which is not entirely surprising. Problems predominant on non-Google phones but even then the exact same model and phone seem to have variable performance.

On my end I have cleared data and cache on AA, uninstalled and then reinstalled both AA and gmaps. Let see how it goes.

I have a S23+ with the latest updates and have no issues with AA.
The one exception is when using navigation on long trips (4+ hours) the connection will start to get buggy.
I've seen this in several other cars too so will put that down to a Google problem since they own the code.

- I don't typically use VPN on my phone.
- My carrier is AT&T ( each carrier has unique updates and configuration)
- Some companies push restrictions on phones...e.g. limited access to contacts...maybe worth looking into if you have a work phone. That's caused me issues in the past.
- I don't know if the various audio/screen size options in the Bronco make any difference to the version of AA they run. But could possibly be another variable

Good luck!

Not a fan of Android/Google. Never owned one personally and won’t in the foreseeable future.
