On my Bronco it is a buggy as hell. Locks up at least once a day (I typically have only two 20 min commutes), sometimes more.

I have tried running it only wired, only wireless, mixed, nothing makes it better. Not sure if it is a Ford or Google issue. I have seen similar lockups with Chevy rentals. On the other hand it works flawlessly on my wife's GLC300. I also tested it with a CarlinKit 5.0 wireless adapter on the GLC (https://a.co/d/57D2ezh) and it does not freeze there too. Tempered to just buy the Carlinkit for the Bronco and call it a day, because Ford and/or Google clearly have no interest in fixing bugs.

When responding please note screen size of your Bronco, as well as the phone and major version of Android you are using.

I am on a Samsung S23U with the latest software updates. The Bronco is also fully updated, last patch was Oct 2.

NOPE sucks, thinks it's mostly the head unit, but the whole layout sucks if you ask me.
Freezes, won't connect wirelessly, plug in freezes

Never have issues with my pixel 6 pro (which is a surprise because I have other phone related issues but that's a different story). Android auto works pretty seamlessly.

I never had issues with my S23 Ultra and I used it wireless, before I went back to Apple.

Android Auto works flawlessly 99% of the time for me, wireless or wired in my Bronco with Sync 4 and in my '22 Mustang with Sync 3 and AAWireless.

Pixel 6, currently running Android 14, worked with 12 and 13 just as well.

*edit* the 1% it doesn't work is usually fixed by restarting my phone

Mine had issues here and then when I had the Pixel 7 Pro.
I now got a Pixel 8 Pro. Happy to say, no more issues.
I think it is either the software or the built in VPN been messing it up.

Android is like Windows. Sometimes it just PITA to fix, could be cache, corrupted files, leftover junks, etc etc.
Also I used to have Google Fi VPN, it sometimes mess up the wireless connection. I now use Pixel 8's Google One VPN, it is smart enough to leave Wireless android auto alone.

Works fine with my Galaxy S9

Not a fan of AA in general, as it always wants to connect automatically and then take over.

No issues with my Samsung Note 20 Ultra.
Android 13
One UI version 5.1

[EDIT: AA is usually pissed off at me though, because I typically have my Location turned off unless I specifically need navigation]

Interesting note about the VPN. I runs an adguard proxy DNS (to block ads) and wonder if it is messing with the AA wifi connection. Anyone knows which IP addresses I need to whitelist for AA?

It works pretty great most of the time for me, maybe 1-2 times a month it will do something weird which has always cleared up after a restart.

I've constantly had issues with this thing, but it might be an issue on the phone itself rather than the Bronco. The thing that's helped me is clearing my phone's cache, but that tends to be a temporary fix that only lasts a couple weeks. S21 Ultra running Android 11, if that matters.

I don't really have any issues. I just wish AA had more features and customization.
