I have one of those magnets and i mounted it, right side down under the dash so its hand reach.

my carry is a S&W bodyguard thou, very compact.

When not on my person this placement works well for quick access and (mostly) out of the way.
mainly on long drives where hours and hours of appendix just aren’t quite so comfy with a non-compact.

I have the molle panel for the sides of the console and the clip for a We The People holster fits perfect in the cutouts. I got a LH outside the waistband holster.

My planning will revolve around the space under the backseat of my four door Bronco when I get it. My primary hunting is pheasants here in Iowa, the space below the rear seats looks like the perfect place to put a slide in / scabbard gun case for my gun storage during hunts. Once I get the Bronco delivered I will work on a pheasant hunting season layout complete with dog box, and supply box pretty swiftly.

This is a utv dog box from cabelas, dogs love it and I mounted an atv gun rack on the top to hold shotguns, has room for a ammo can and a gallon of water for the dogs

I think I'd prerfer a location where it wasn't visible.

I like magnets for under a desk, table, etc. But not in a car. The location is good, but I think I'd use a holster.

For someone who's left handed the door pocket could be good.

Oops! Sorry… should’ve been more descriptive instead of using terms. It was not meant to be political. I only meant that I am a southpaw when I use some tools so the door storage was one that I considered.
