Special thanks to @RHeinz for posting this. I installed mine today using pretty much the same method. I bought some 2" x 1/8" aluminum stock, drilled a few holes, and bolted it up. I used a small piece of velcro tape on the back edge of the Starlink to hold it form sliding, but that may have been overkill with the aluminum pressing on it. I just fired it up, but so far in congested western Washington state I'm getting about 60 down and 15 up, about 1/2 of what I'm getting from the Starlink on my roof. Off to Moab in a few days, but again, thanks for the idea. It's not a very elegant solution, but for about 30 mins of work, this is such a simple solution and total cost was about $10 in hardware, plus $35 for the dedicated charger. I'll probably visit Send Cut Send when I have more time and build a proper bracket, but I just can't seem to justify spending any more on a different solution unless I go full roof off more often, which is rare where I currently live.
