Are Raised White Lettering on Tires back?

For all you auto fashionistas.....I was next to a new RAM p/u and it had outlined raised white lettering on Bridgestones vs the old solid. A new trend?

Most of us are trying to de-badge the vehicle, why would we want to advertise for the tire manufacturer?

RWL's went out in 1987 and, with the exception of Arkansas, some obscure parts of California, areas around Oregon State University, and certain back desert parts of Arizona, haven't come back.

If it's that big a deal to you, you can always color the lettering in on your tires with special pens:

Not a big deal to me; in fact I hate it when the horse on my shirt doesn't match the alligator on my socks.

I'd post pictures of my 72' Ford Pinto with white lettering on Goodyear Polyglass tires but it would take to long to restore the slides.

I came from an era of white walls, red and blue line tires. Although I don't like promoting manufactures, it does have a nice finishing detail to the tire

I don't understand why people put the white lettering out when it gets rubbed off to hell anyway.

When I bought the tires for my Jeep I went blackwall out and ever since I've sorta kinda regretted it once I saw someone rolling white out. I don't know if I'd like the upkeep though.

I love OWL on the right vehicle. My Dodge with the chrome wheels looked good with white lettering.
