Just factor that into your asking price. If tax is $5678, ask for $5678 morenot sure I follow .... so even w/ better than average depreciation, paying $4-5k sales tax (in CA) then flipping isn't a big deal?
fair enough.Just factor that into your asking price. If tax is $5678, ask for $5678 more
The problem is that Ford will issue the title in the buyers name. The original buyer will have to pay sale tax on it. Then when he sells it the new buyer will also have to pay sales tax on the purchase . If he is ina 7% sales tax state and his vehicle is 50000- he has to make 3500 more than he paid for it just to break even.A friend of mine sent me this link off of craigslist for a guy flipping a bronco that he doesn’t even own yet. Which I can’t imagine is too surprising.
His post is interesting, because he seems to be demanding cash up front at the dealership. Which I find odd. There’s also no information about where his reservation is and what place he is in the ordering process. Other than saying his “early”.
I figured Ford would not want things like this happening. And would do everything they can to stop it, even if it’s hard.
I also assumed if you were going to flip your bronco you would try to load it up with his many features as possible since I know there are a lot of crazies out there that would spend top dollar for top of the line. ?
"Wow, $25k of easy money in my pocket!" - Bronco flipper. The problem with "flipping" w/in a short amount of time is paying taxes - will dig into your profit immensely. Unless the play is having the new buyer buy directly from dealer and pay you extra?
They did when I bought my GT 500.A friend of mine sent me this link off of craigslist for a guy flipping a bronco that he doesn’t even own yet. Which I can’t imagine is too surprising.

Look 9 posts up. ?Being an avid rock crawler, I am disappointed in this thread.
I was expected to see a Bronco parked on it's roof.
Here you go. This guy didn't even have to go off road to flip it.Being an avid rock crawler, I am disappointed in this thread.
