Any reason why they didn’t make this truck full-time 4x4 and instead opted for part-time select ?

One good reason is that all wheel drive burns more gas as you are turning 4 wheels all the time.

imagine a Sasquatch bronco turning all four 35s all the time. Your mpg would be around 10.

May beat the dance party Rear wheel trucks can have in bad weather
well, Id say given the weight over the rear wheels of a Bronco that's a given for no dance party

What do you mean by that? I know it’s a heavy truck, but most in rear end ?

Don't really need 4x4 all the time especially when just driving down the highway in normal conditions. I would prefer to have the option of 4x4 and save on gas.

Hence why they have 4x4. Your tail starts slipping out in slick situations pop that baby in 4H and be on your way (as long as the road doesn’t have good traction so you won’t bind the gears)

If you’re worried, just get the advanced transfer case. I’m sure most people are happy having the option.
im getting base and advanced not available on base model for some reason

Without sasquatching it, you have to move up to at least a Black Diamond to get the advanced. I wasn't too happy about that either.

My H2 does 13mpg with full time turning 37s so I would be impressed if the Sas did worse 🤣
