I didn’t read this whole thread. All I have to say is, I’m getting a 4-door, I like how both look, and I DGAF if the gal above or below me (on this thread, sicko) prefers the 2-door

Well I’m getting a non sas 4 door in cactus grey so by all means that makes me a social pariah on this forum, but this guy is my ride or die and hiking partner so I still feel like a winner ❤

Don’t get us started on all the auto trans broncos. Might as well let the truck drive for you also.
I know someone who let the Tesla autopilot do the driving a few nights ago. Who gets the DWI Ticket if something goes wrong?

Elon, take the wheel!

Yeah, I don't get it. I'd have guessed 90% of the threads about "how many doors do I need" are just people trying to feel better about giving up and accepting their schoolbus. Can't say I've ever seen anyone getting berated about it.

Maybe this is just the OPs version of that.
I will say, I love the short bus (2door) version as well. 😉

The base 4-Door costs $4700 more than than base 2-door.
What you gain in residual value is more than lost in the out the door price.
Nope...a little math: 2 door base price is 31590(INCLUDING AUTO TRANS) .72 residual at 24 months results in 368/mo cost. If you keep it 36 months (residual is .67), result is 289/mo cost. If you keep it 48 months (residual is .62), result is 250/mo. THE FOUR DOOR base price is 34695 .77 residual at 24 months results in 332/mo. If you keep it 36 months (residual is .72), result is 269/mo. If you keep it 48 months (residual is .67), result is 238/mo.

so the FOUR door DOES have a lower "net cost" per month between 2 years and 4 years.

Different styles serve different needs. I feel like there’s some intolerance on that.

I can have only one vehicle. A second parking spot in my big city garage costs more than an Outer Banks. I’m not kidding. Therefore, there can be only one.

As such, it needs to tick some different boxes than if I had a suburban driveway and room for toys.

A Squatch’d bro-dozer on aftermarket 40s doesn’t make sense for me.

it might for you. Have at it. But don’t talk down about my $50K family ride because it won’t be going to Moab next weekend.

My ride is built to eventually carry me to upper Quebec and the wilds of Labrador. I need wheels that can be replaced Or repaired in towns that you cannot find on a map in a corner of the world you’ve never heard of. Ain’t no YouTube channels for these places.

Purists make it hard to be on team 4-door. (🙋🏻‍♀️ I know cause I’m a 2-door purist.) But 2 or 4, I’m still gonna wave at ya on the street and wheel with ya on the trail. (I’m gonna pick at ya for having a soccer mom bronco though!) 😂

I'm team 2 door. But I understand the need for 4 door, and even the want of 4 door. Personal preference is a nice luxury to have, and as of right now we have the choice. I'm skeptical on the lifespan of the 2 door, and being a fan of the original, I felt like it was the obvious choice for me.
I will say that the "I need 4 doors because I have kids/dogs/etc." Argument is fine, but you don't NEED them. Its all about the convenience. Cargo space? Yeah, that's a fair argument.

If 4 doors are better, why isn't this a thing??

This is pretty much the only thing that matters. Why people feel the need to be accepted by total strangers on the internet or offended enough to make a big deal out of it is beyond me.

America is full of cry babies. Who cares what you’re buying and if someone doesn’t like it? You let people opinions bother you that much? 😳

But, it’s oddly reminiscent of all car forums where someone buys a V6 sports car and says they love it, it’s perfect and they care about MPG. But get offended when someone makes fun of them for not buying the V8. You either love your decision or you don’t, grow thicker skin.

Just like I couldn’t have a regular or extended cab truck. Crew cab is a must, just like 4dr Bronco. There is no where that a 2dr Bronco can go where a 4dr cant. I own a 2dr wrangler (back seat removed) and it sucks even getting my large dog into the jeep since he has to go through the rear and over top my rear storage box.

I'm right there with you. I like the look of both but prefer the look of the 2 door. Want to get one before the Bronco is 4 door only (hopefully this never happens but just in case). I personally would love to have one of each.
