Why is that BL missing the sway bar disconnect button???? Damn these preproduction units...
It has the SB disconnect, but doesn't have the trail turn assist because it's a manual.

My apologies...never looked at the BL. Thought it was standard on it...was using BD as point of reference.

disco is still there just the buttons shift to the right to make up for missing trail turn assist because this is a manual transmission.

Thanks for the pics. Do you push in the clutch and row the gears? How did it feel?
I didn't drive it. They wouldn't even start it so I could hear the 2.7 purrr.

OK I figured you would have still fiddled with it turned off.

Looks like less crowd than Ted Britt Fairfax on Saturday. What did you get?

Glad you had a good time. I'm looking to getting to sit in one. I've seen it live but no touching.

The 12" screen dominates the dashboard in all the photos I see. I look forward to seeing it in person just to see if it takes up as much space as I suspect.

I was at both events and definitely less people than the Fairfax one. It was also rainy, cooler and mid-week so probably less than expected turnout.

Dealer event a Ted Bitt Ford in Chantilly VA.

I loved every bit of it. For a long time (or what felt like a long time) I went back and forth between a Black Diamond with Squatch/Mid and Badlands with 33s/High (due to budget mostly). They had both there and my decision to go with the BL was confirmed. The 12" screen (with 360) IMO is greater the Squatch if you have to choose. Reasons being utility and height. I don't need 35" tires on the East Coast and without a step it was a strong step up to get into (wife and kids would struggle more). The 33s still felt huge and the 12" screen looked beautiful. The soft top looks like a pain in the ass though.

2 items of note/debate. You will notice that the 33" came with the upgraded beadlock rims but had the AT KO2s on them. I asked the event guy and he said that the KO2s were the tire that came with both and you were only upgrading to get the beadlock. This goes against what is published and is still preproduction but thought it was interesting and may cause a firestorm.

Next, the BL had a cargo mat in the trunk. The guy said it was an option but I can't remember seeing it. Either way, the cargo mat blocks the tie down straps so if you want to store the doors it is not going to be easy to reach those hooks under the mat. The trunk was still durable even without the mat so you may want to consider that if you opted for that upgrade. IMO it would be one or the other and the mat isn't worth it unless you have like dog crates or are using it to move bricks.

Overall, incredible vehicle and I am really excited to get it.

Thanks for the photos. Can’t wait to see them here in PA. I went through the same thought process between BL and BD and came to the same conclusion - ended up choosing BL with the high package and 33’s. Hope I’m right!
