I just switched my order from a BL to a base 2dr with SAS. Just told that I cannot get a tow package with a base Bronco.
It was mentioned the dealer could put on the tow kit but you'd lose the Trans cooler. Not a big deal but now concerned it will hang lower than one installed at the factory, killing departure angle.
Thoughts?

The tow package did not have a transcooler anyways....

Aftermarket will have what your looking for probably nearly immediately and for far less than the factory hitch.

I'll need to correct my dealer then, lol.
Solid point though. I didn't give thought to an after market solution being as capable as factory.

I have hope that aftermarket setup will be as good or better than the factory. I need them for both a base and a FE. Not particularly thrilled about the idea of putting something jankey on either.

The factory hitch looks almost identical to the factory hitch on the Wrangler. I have every expectation that etrailer will have a solution long before Ford delivers my Bronco.

AS capable is just wrong. The factory version is a Class II. After market will come out with Class III and IV. More capacity, and even if you never exceed the 3500 lb capacity, the stability of the higher classes make by being attached to the frame as opposed to a cross member makes for a smoother safer tow...

Trans cooler is standard on the 10AT.

Lol, good point!

There are a good many posters here who believe the tow pkg will have a heavy duty or higher capacity Trans cooler over and above "standard".
That is not the case.

I just kind of leapt to that conclusion because I've read so many versions of these same questions so many times. Lol
