Anybody else concerned about the plastic interior and sheer amount of it? People are saying it appears and feels cheap at the Bronco events.

The longer I wait for this Bronco....the more things I keep finding that bother me ever so slightly (plastic interior, washout floors just being inserts, B&O not being great, etc). And I tend to just be happy with everything

This waiting thing isn’t working well for me lol

I haven’t seen it in person, it does get mentioned here and there… Next week I’ll get my chance to view it for myself and hopefully I walk away a little more positively concerning the interior plus a few other things which are normal.

Would you explain the washout floors being just inserts part.

Plastic interior is what everything has nowadays.
Exactly... the days of wood interiors are gone... the all metal dashes are gone... the cracked padded vinyl dashes out the door. What else would it be? Maybe we need them woven out of hemp or something... or better yet, carbon fiber... who knows?

...the end of this thread's title?

Yes.

No, but I am planning on using it for what it was engineered to do. Everything people think is higher-end is just another form of plastic that's more prone to mildew unless it's a Rolls-Royce and every surface that looks like leather is actually leather.

I look at it as a blank canvas. Make the interior your own and something you'll be proud of.

This isn't 50k because it's a luxury vehicle. It's a heavy duty off-road capable vehicle. If you want the SUV with a luxury feel, buy that. But it won't be made for off-road. If you want both, that'll be 100k.

No, I saw it this week and I liked it. It’s better than its competitor’s interior and seems well laid out. No concern. It didn’t feel cheap.

Nope, not at all. I feel that most new vehicles interiors are mostly plastic nowadays- especially compared to the vehicles of the 60's, 70's, etc. Compare the Gen 1 Bronco- all steel almost everywhere on the interior, compared to this new one. The only part not steel if I recall correctly is the dash pad. So plastic almost everywhere seems to be the norm- at least to me.
