Is that a JL or JK? and I’d be really interested to see the soft top Jeep too. My Jeep’s have always been tolerable with a soft top right up until the mud tires got good and broken in.Update got the hard top Jeep #s today

The hard top I did was a new on the lot 2021, I hope to find a 4 door 2021 soft top to do alsoIs that a JL or JK? and I’d be really interested to see the soft top Jeep too. My Jeep’s have always been tolerable with a soft top right up until the mud tires got good and broken in.
So you are saying a 21 soft top Bronco makes less noise than a 21 hard top Wrangler as measured with the same device on the same road? Thats pretty impressive if so.The hard top I did was a new on the lot 2021, I hope to find a 4 door 2021 soft top to do also
Jeep was better at 50mph and higher at 70mph. The bronco is just more arrow dynamic that would be my guess in why at that higher speed you will see the difference. The Bronco had a little wind noise coming from the back it sounded like the drivers side like above the back door window area my buddy that went with me pointed it out and the review the guy posted on the same bronco also talked about it. But its like I told my buddy if your riding in a soft top and can pin point noise that means it quiet over all. People talk about road noise but for the most part the wind noise drowns out the road noise. So you are saying a 21 soft top Bronco makes less noise than a 21 hard top Wrangler as measured with the same device on the same road? What app did you use on your phone for testing? If you want to check your ride to compare its a free app (NIOSH sound level meter)
Disclamer Different roads and if you have the AC on or off things like this will make a difference this is a ballpark not a perfect # (Lux package and carpet I would think would be even less) I did AC off and ran test between the front 2 seats.
Hope to add Jeep numbers next week plan to go by a dealer and get some on both soft top and hard.

First off I had a guy going to give me some numbers but they were way off. (I tested my phone to make sure it was right on DBs) You are welcome to post your numbers but keep in mind if you don't test your phone for accuracy it maybe way off. (Normal Chatting is around 60db) just an easy way to see if its even close.
Any chance you can do a Rubicon? You are comparing the E Tire model(street tires) to Sasquatch(mud tires). Thats just not apples to apples. A better comparison would be of the E Sahara would be to the Big Bend I suspect.Updated with soft top Jeep #s this Jeep was the new E model Sahara Tires are 275/55R20. The reason why I am pointing that out is they told me it was the quietest soft top jeep they had but it was also the only new soft top Jeep in the OKC area. All info is updated on first post but thought I would just give the soft top also here.

I can say with certainty that the wind noise at 70 in my 4dr hard top badlands with roof rack is louder than any "window air conditioner" I've ever heardAs we attempt to understand sound as recorded in decibels, do you feel this chart is an accurate representation of your experience?
