I can only speculate, but I’ve heard the FE doesn’t have sport mode. The 2.3 manual could possibly be quicker in some situations since there is complete control over the shift points.
Yah just like Car and Driver dropping clutch at 5k.
Dream on...

It’s not merging I’m pretty confident it can merge well as it’s moving the boost is built. It is say pulling on to a 45mph speed limit road with moderate traffic from a dead stop.
Still not going to make a difference. Millions of drivers do this daily in shitty slow cars.

Every other review I've seen of the exact same build (2.7L first edition SAS) has the 0-60 times in the 7 to 8.2 second range. They must be doing this video WAY above sea level and running the 4xe on electric only mode rather than hybrid mode so that the elevation doesn't affect the Jeep but does affect the gas engine of the Bronco. In other words, in real world conditions in most states the results would likely be much much closer. The 4xe should still normally win, but in hybrid mode would be within a 0.5 seconds of the sasquatch'ed first edition bronco.

Does that f150 have 4.70 diff ratios? How about 35in tall tires on 17in wheels?

The answer is no, so it's not evenly remotely similar.

I'm the same way - apparently getting older, but I'm almost never going to go 0-60 the fastest possible and definitely not in a way where a second or two is going to make any difference at all.

What do all the other people who live in your moderate sized city do? Because lots of them are driving vehicles as slow or slower than the Bronco.
Are they paying $62000 for their slow vehicle? Probably not. Have you driven one? If so you’d know exactly what I’m talking about.

I really want to see how they broke the Defender. Like was it user error or did it just pull a Land Rover at a really inconvenient time (or a combo).
In the TFL live show yesterday they seemed to implied that the bash plates on the Defender weren't up to par and they might have snapped something on the trail when testing against the other vehicles.

Waiting on a closer true comparison of a 2 door Wrangler 2.0T vs the 2 Door Sasquatch Bronco 2.7TT. Comparing the 4XE with 470 torque is unfair. Disappointing numbers from the Bronco but all that matters is on road and off road performance, not 0-60 times.

The 4.7 rear should help it get off the line quickly...appropraite for 35s and designed for low end; and they are light 35s, similar to the 33s that come stock on the Rubicon people are comparing it to.
