Yup, happening here in Houston as well and they are going like hot cakes. Base package, black diamond at my local dealer didn't last a day with a 10k markup.

Green sticker, so it was someone's order. Wonder if they canceled because of the markup or if the markup was added after they canceled for a different reason.

My local dealer has been letting me onow when some be ome available, it usually because the owner got another car while they waited. This last one he said the family got 4runner while waiting and were happy with.

its a hard-to-get 2-door being sold to people who didn't wait nearly 2 years for one, I'd say +$10K is a bargain. (unless they went up $10K on the original reservation holder)

Eventually all those markups will simply be lost money for these buyers. Once supply catches up in a year or two and these folks try to trade in for the next big thing and wonder why their trade in value is way lower than what they paid….., that’s when reality sinks in.

My favorite dealership Bronco story to date is how an order holder came to pick up their base four door model. The vehicle was parked next to a demo four door WildTrak. The orderer told the salesman. “ looking at my order compared to this WT, forget it, I don’t want it”. Base Bronco was placed for sale at 10K over sticker ASAP.
