Does anyone know if the rear glass opens with the tailgate shut?

It does not.Does anyone know if the rear glass opens with the tailgate shut?
The gate needs to open first to get the tire out of the way.I thought it did to let the tailgate open.
Source?
Yes, open the tailgate, and then you can open the rear glass.I thought I saw a photo of them opening separately
Definitely looks like the spare tire is in the way, you're right.Yeah, I don't see the glass opening before the tailgate.
My 79 rear glass was awesome, but I have seen and heard many horror stories about water getting in there and ruining the motor and rusting it out over and over.Wish it would roll down like my old 79 did
+1 on this. I saw a picture of the bronco with the glass open and the tailgate shut.FWIW, if it's like my former JK, you can open the swing gate, then open the glass, then shut the gate, and drive like that with the rear glass open, for example if you need to carry something long hanging out the back.
