I own what some may consider a shockingly large collection of handguns, rifles and shotguns. I see zero problems with discussing how to properly secure them in a vehicle.
I used to but lost them all in a boating accident...

not sure if it was said or not, but the center console safe doesnt mount to anything. its just drop it in and its there. so youre dropping a metal safe into a plastic enclosure and you cant screw it down. if thats your idea of safe then go for it

Hello all,

I would like to know if anyone has researched where you can mount a handgun safe in the new Bronco. I am ordering a 4 door BD.

With my previous vehicles I just slid a small Simplex lock gun safe under the drivers seat and "secured" it with a cable that looped around the mounts for the seat. It worked but wasn't really ideal.

I would like to actually hard mount something like a Fort Knox handgun safe somewhere in the vehicle and was wondering if anyone had done it or researched it enough to know where one could go.

Worst case, I will just do what I did before and use a cable lock. But any insights/recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks.
Gunvault mini fits perfect in the glove compartment

Super cool in my opinion, but… honestly… I don’t think the rear quarter panel of the Bronco is long enough or wide enough to fit something like that comfortably.

Maybe if you didn’t have the Lux package you could use the right rear quarter thanks to the extra space left for the B&O subwoofer. But not sure.

I’ve also heard doing that is illegal in many states. Not sure if that is true or not—haven’t looked into it.
There is about 2" between the inside quarter panel and outside skin that you see. No chance of any cool hidey stuff unless you remove the sub area on the passenger side. Even then, not much room.

Ford Bronco Where to mount a gun safe? [Admin Warning: NO POLITICS] image

Unsure of model number.. It's the smallest they make.. Meets airport regs for flying BTW.
I have used a gunvault. Nice and compact, but requires a key. I switched several years ago to a Simplex lock handgun safe. I showed a photo of it in an earlier post.

Barring some company developing a really well integrated gunsafe, I think I am going to use my existing V-Line safe and cable lock it to the driver's seat and store it underneath (https://www.vlineind.com/shop/compact-pistol-safe/)

while I don't have a problem with your solution and the fast access it affords, I am looking for a way to SECURE my EDC firearm in a not-so-obvious manner when I need to leave it in my Bronco :)

Just bought a boat yesterday for plausible deniability...

Needs a little bit of work, but a 25' party pontoon is just what the doctor ordered and is under 3,500 for towing with the Bronco.
