Had another good weekend wheeling with the Gold Country group. Got to play in some awesome snow up off 50.

I got 1 more honey do item till I can go mess around in my garage. I am going to pull my sliders as they are starting to deform the body from all the ledge humping yesterday.
Your rock sliders are bending up your body? Which ones do you have? I assume they are body mounted...

So haven’t done anything major with the rig in awhile. Had the soft top cover replaced under warranty. Looking forward to getting the hardtop I ordered and getting rid of this loud junk. Also made a minor change on my emblems this morning. It’s a little small but still works.

Update on the latest adventure for the my Bronco. My wife and I took it to Moab for one last vacation before the spring and work starts for me. Left early on the 9th and spent 14ish hours driving through one of the storms hitting Cali and other western states. Bronco didn’t miss a beat even in some pretty crappy weather.

this was going through Nevada near Elko

We split the trip into doing a few off-roading trails and hiking/checking out parks. First day of wheeling we tried to finish Top of the World. Was a pretty neat experience since it had snowed there recently. Made it all the way up the trail until around the last 100 yards or so which was just a giant icy patch going up hill. So finished the trail on foot from that point. Also accidentally went up Onion Creek Rd on the way to the trail head, which turned out to be a nice little drive which we did again at night later.

On the last day of trail riding we went up to Sand Flat State Park and while getting our bearings a guy with his family pulled up in a rental Jeep and asked if we where doing Find and Things. At this point we hadn’t decided yet but said screw it and tagged along with them. We did the whole trail no issues and I believe we took the harder lines the whole way. Did find out though that my Bronco sliding backwards with the brakes locked shuts the engine off. After finishing the trail and lunch we headed up to a hiking trail that ended up being in the La Sal mountains which was covered in snow. So it turned into a cruise through La Sal Loop Rd. And talk about some amazing views. Highly recommend.

On the way home yesterday we tried to get to Reno before 80 closed but guess the weather was pretty bad so we ended up going through Susanville and back into the Valley via 36. Bronco had no issues cruising in the snow on that bit of driving.

after a few attempts of climbing the icy sections. Would only get about 15’ up and then slide way back down.

After much deliberating between going to a hard top of getting a Rakit roof rack, I decided to go to a hardtop. I ordered the Anderson Composites one which should be here in approximately 12 weeks and I’ll be also getting the Besttop sky rider for it for during the summer months.
Same here, I ordered mine on 11/16, but haven't heard anything yet. They said they were initially starting to ship them in December, but I have seen anyone get one yet, so who knows.

Quick question, I see you have the Max tire clearance kit installed (so do I). Where did you mount the external reservoirs at for the ICON suspension coil overs? I also see you have the Bronc Buster braces, I thought those were not compatible with the Icon suspensions.

Yeah the guy I talked to at Anderson when I first ordered it said it’d be hopefully 12 weeks before it ships. Which should be any day now for me. The icon reservoirs come with a bracket that you drill some holes and use self tapping screws to mount. It doesn’t use the body mounts at all. And on the Broncbuster bushing I had to spin the bottom coilover eyelet 180 degrees so that the offset was on the opposite side and did a little grinding on the sway bar link and the bushings to get them all to mostly fit. Still rubs a tiny bit but will work until some better steering components come out.
