I am glad some people have had good luck with the KBD flares. The set that I got in were horrible. Only 1 out of 4 fit even remotely close.

Had to reinstall my 2 front, second time around went better. The 2 rear flares are perfect. It sucks though you shouldn't have to...

I had a similar issue, they don't follow the contours well at that point. Mine still have a slight gap there. I had to use a lot of heat from a gun to get as close as I got. At some point, I'll be pulling, deep cleaning, and remounting with some adhesive promotor and fresh tape.

On another note, it seems a solution has been found for the fading with this Ceramic Trim Coat. Flares look freshly painted black. We'll see how long it lasts. I'll post a pic...

I only used 2 wipes, 1 per pack (10 total in the box), and was able to cover the flares, door handles, mirrors and window trim… We’ll see how the coating holds up, but the flares look freshly painted after applying…

So I reached out to KBD before I posted here. Their customer service has been great and they are sending me replacements for the 2 effected flares, plus extra tape. I hope that it goes better the second time.

I’ve had the flares since February and finally had a chance to install them yesterday. I’ll need to do something about the gap between the mudflaps and flares and spray some black on the little bit of blue showing underneath. I do wish they were a tad wider. My rims have +12 offset because I’m eventually installing 37’s.

What have your experiences been with these regarding mud/rocks/pinstriping from the reduced fender width? I'm trying to decide between these and the RPM Oversized Fender Flares (I want a more OG squared-off look) and these two options are kinda on opposite ends of the spectrum as far as width is concerned. And even with the stock flares on my Badlands Sasquatch it loves to pile up the mud RIGHT on the door handles.

They started looked pretty terrible, but I rarely wash it and they’ve sat with lots of muck on them for days at a time.

I just reapplied the coating this weekend and they look a lot better, but you can still see some of the spots under the coating…

I Don't do much with mud so I can't comment about that. My rock sliders seem to deflect most of the rocks. It is weird how most rocks come of at about a 20 degree angle. I really like the look and I feel that the round stock flares were a design mistake from Ford

Those look awesome! Mine are getting painted and installed this month and seeing yours makes me that much mote excited! Mind if I ask which rocker kit you have? I’ve been looking for one to complement my spear kit and that looks great!

@BLINDSIDE Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry, I just realized I asked that question like a complete idiot. I meant where did you get the vinyl strip kit that runs along your rockers?
