Pulled the windows out, popped the tops... And took the wife out for a day drive.

First time I have pulled them to just go out driving.
I will have to make a habit of this.

Did that eliminate the wind buffering?
I found that taking out the rear quarters and the gunners hatch did reduce the buffeting but seemed louder than just removing the whole roof. I invested in a hoist after that.

How did you get the windows out? Using a ball peen hammer?
Unscrewed the bolt that holds them in and pulled them right out.
23 and Job One 24 Heritage Editions have removable side windows.

Mine are at 38-39, I need to drop about 5 pounds.
Finally got the tire and wheel upgrade done.
Stroppe edition wheels, in white instead of black and a set of Arroyo Tamarock RTs in 35x12.50/R17.
The tires seem well regarded in the Toyota circles, and I have seen how those guys like to spend money. 😁
They balanced easy, no shake or vibration at 80, and while you DO hear them going down the road it isn't obnoxious... The tread IS fairly chunky.
And I think they look pretty good.
Oh, this combo adds 20 lbs per corner.
And added some tint.
