THE BRONCO “wave”??

Welcome to the best Bronco forum on the entire internet ! (we are way cooler than those nerds at Bronco Nation…)

Quite awhile ago we decided on this forum to use Horseshoes instead of ducks.

The Horseshoes also double for The Wave. Just throw it at an oncoming Bronco. Forum mojo awarded for a “ringer”. Post pics of results one way or another.

I've had my Bronco now for over a year, and have received exactly one wave. But there aren't many Broncos around here. I think part of it is that there are so many Jeeps around that the reflex becomes second nature for the Jeep owner.

I picked up an ancient 1988 Wrangler YJ, hosed it off and drove it to a nearby town yesterday for the first time. Immediately got the wave. Kinda felt warm inside...

I wave at every Bronco I see. If they don't wave back, it's not a big deal at all and I don't think any less of them for it at all. Some people just aren't into it and that's alright. Wave away!

It doesn't hurt to be friendly, so I wave at all Broncos. If they don't wave back, that's fine.

You really can score a lot of points by putting these on any parked Bronco (lol):

Either way, you will get a response (both good and bad) and all you really wanted to do is say "Hey, that's a good-looking Bronco". Plenty of us take pride in what we've done to make ours unique and will accept the admiration gladly. Others will seem to get the impression that you've deeply offended them by accosting their personal property/space.

Some seem to resent the "hey brother, good choice" message..... I wave to bronco's, I return jeep waves..... maybe the world can use a little more brotherly love....

The Bronco wave is exclusively for owners of black Braptors last I checked.

I thought it was all about the soft top & their side windows

You will likely get the comradery (aka "waves") you are looking for out on the trail. Coming out of the Starbucks parking lot... probably not so much.

Most people don’t wave at anything. We have a Jeep and that is an exception but I have to initiate the wave to get a wave and you can tell that most of the time their heart’s not in it. I have a blue Silverado and always wave at blue silverados but to date not one has waved back. We were once at a light next to a modern retro designed Fiat 500 but we were in our 1966 model that the new version was based on. We waved and they just looked at us like we were nuts. Motorcycle riders always wave at other motorcycles on country roads and the same goes between classic cars of any type. I do wave at other Broncos but it’s fruitless.

Most don't wave, ya know, because we don't drive Heeps. A few have waved and even flashed high beams and are given a hap hazarded reply.
