I put together a simple mountain bike mount inside my 2-door using the factory floor tie-down points. Figured I’d share the parts list in case anyone wants to build something similar. The bike is an XL 27.5 Santa Cruz Chameleon with a dropper post. The passenger seat is all the way back and leaned out.
How it comes together:
The T-slotted extrusion acts as the base and sits across the cargo area. I secure it to the Bronco using the factory tie-down rings with the carabiners, which keeps everything locked in place without drilling or permanent mods.
The bike fork mount bolts directly to the extrusion, giving a solid mounting point up front. The ratchet handle makes it easy to adjust the carabiners or remove the setup quickly without tools.
- TNUTZ.com (main structure + mounting hardware):
- (2) LH-015-A–15 Series M8 Locking Ratchet Handle (with washer + standard T-nut) – $7.90
- (1) EX-3075-BLACK – 0.75" x 3" black smooth T-slotted aluminum extrusion (32") – $25.30
- Shipping $20 via UPS
- HomeDepot (tie-down hardware):
- (2x) 1/4" spring link (170 lb rated carabiners) – $15
- (4x) 1/4" black flat washers – $1
- Amazon:
- ODIER Bike fork mount (T-slot hardware included) – $16

- No drilling or permanent install
- Uses existing tie-down points
- Quick to remove
- Cheap and solid
- T-slot mounting options are endless
