For those of you that have had the dealer replace your hard top (rear section) how long did it take the dealer to replace it? My dealer is stating 2 days...
Takes two days for them to replace it if it's in stock and they don't have to argue with corporate about warranty coverage or have a backlog of work.
I dropped mine off August 13, 2026 to get looked at. They couldn't get it looked at for two weeks due to volume of repairs/maintenance. Got it looked at on August 27, 2026. Dealer argued with Ford that it should be covered so they were back and forth for a week even with the correct pictures/paperwork. Got approved Sep 1, 2026 for warranty coverage. Took a week for them to get the top shipped, took two days for them to work on it and I picked it up September 9, 2026. This is Galpin Ford in CA.

Ok thanks, Top is approved and in I was just thinking that seems like a long time to swap a hard top even if they do need to swap out the glass.

I have also gone thru 3 factory tops. The first under 36k miles (less than 2 years old), the second about 8 months later and now the third 4 months after that and at 38k miles. Ford now says the top replaced 4 months ago didn't come with a warranty and wants to 'split' the cost.

They have gone so far as to question what I am doing with my Raptor to cause these issues. All the cracking was in different locations on each top and this Bronco never goes off road.

Stronly considering the E-top at this point. Workmanship and material on this product is terrible and Ford does not stand behind their products.

I have been putting off submitting mine for warranty hoping Ford would have a different manufacturer by now. Or allow us to pay for the upgrade and get a painted top. No such luck.
And what if my new top has wind noise? My current 2024 top is quiet.

I just had my rear section replaced, lets see how long it lasts, the dealer told me they had 3 others there for the same thing. At this point I am really shocked there isn't a class action lawsuit on these tops since they are all bad. Id be willing to bet there are thousands of people out there with cracks in their tops and they don't even know it.

There are alot of owners who have no reason to look at their tops- they dont hand wash them, they don't take them off, etc. OEMs bank on that level of ignorance of the public.

What frustrates me is that a Ford 'Customer Relations' rep told me there was no warranty on the replacement top...

Unfortunately- even with a class action suit- you likely won't get much as they would discount for mileage/age etc. New Mod top plus paint would be crazy high.

So no one has said: "Get a softtop?"
The only way to fly. I'm so sad, I rarely see a hard top with panels removed. You're missing out, folks.
A big NO to a soft top. The covered wagon with plastic windows in not the look I'm going for.

I did get my Bronco back from getting its 4th replacement Mic top the other day. 4 days at the dealership . 3 year warranty is up now so I will probably just get it LineXed when it starts showing signs of cracking.. Got the 1st rock chip in the windshield on the way home and it spread a foot long by the time I got it in the garage. Got the windshield replaced then noticed the side window on the Mic top flapping in the wind, so another 3 days at the dealership for that. On the way home it rained and my windshield leaks in the floorboard now. It looks as if no sealant at all at the top center area.

I have yet another appointment to have it replaced again on Monday :(

Has anyone tried ceramic coating a MIC top? Mine is still in good shape but I keep it in my garage when not using it. I ceramic coated my last vehicle, a 2015 Explorer and it looked great when I sold it last week.

All 4 of my replacements have been quite except for hearing the side window flapping on the last one they did not seal well enough.

My '24 have a couple of hairline cracks around the rear shell window and and some honey comb artifacts on the panels, only seen under the right light shadow. Both issues have been present for 2 years and are really unnoticeable. At 40k miles I'm past my warranty and to be honest, those little cracks never bothered me enough for a replacement shell and the time energy it takes to go through the process, with the strong possibility of having to do it all again. Yes they piss me off on a new vehicle but not enough for a replacement. Now if I was experiencing delamination....that's a different story.

I had my second MIC top ceramic coated and it didn’t help. So on my third top I didn’t bother doing it again. Mine is a 2021 First Edition with less than 1500 miles, stored in climate controlled building and never been through a car wash. I don’t think there is anything that can be done. Probably just a poorly made product unfortunately.

Oh joy, now it's the drivers side window coming loose !
Left it 4 days to get the 4th replacement top on the Bronco then had to carry it back for another 4 days due to the passenger side glass coming unglued. 2 weeks later

and it's going back because now the drivers side glass is detaching. The sealant is still attached to the glass but not the top. Has Ford changed something about the top material that would cause the sealant not to adhere properly? Dealership says they have never had this issue before.

Just not looking in the right places. I agree, leaving the top or panels on is a tremendous waste.
