Funny enough, I just changed my oil today. This was the first time I've found both the mobil 1 AND FoMoCo oil filters in stock at Walmart. And, plenty of oil in stock, even managed to grab a 5 quart jug that matches the additional 1 quart bottle this time (usually I have to mismatch them).I was at 2 Walmarts and noticed the large 5 quart jugs of 5w 30 oil are flying off the shelfs! I had to buy the smaller 1 quart jugs because the large jugs were sold out and ended up costing me a bit more for my oil change.
Anyone experiencing this in their area? I heard on the news it’s getting worse in some areas and folks are panicking like buying up all the butt wipe during Corona.
These motors tend to fuel dilute pretty fast, so even if the oil was good for that long, it's gonna be cut quite thin by gas by then.I’m just not sure I’m willing to test that “15k miles and still within spec” change interval.
I wish my Nvda would go up! Sucks it’s flat during earnings. At least some of the stock I own is up (over 6 months) due to it.
If only I had about 10K shares it would offset the increased oil/fuel (and automotive paint) costs.
I always keep about 2 changes worth on my shelf, and the Amsoil I put in it this last time supposedly can go a lot further between changes…I’m just not sure I’m willing to test that “15k miles and still within spec” change interval.

Pennzoil POA synthetics on sale here.Vast majority of "full synthetic" oils on the market are Group III base, which is severely hydrocracked crude.
Very few majority-PAO oils left, and most GTL production is offline after Shell's plant got drone bombed in the early days of the war.
As far as I know Pennzoil does not offer any PAO-majority oils, their best line (Ultra Platinum) is GTL.Pennzoil POA synthetics on sale here.
All Pennzoil 100% synthetics are 100% POA and have been since the 1990s at least. I know as I went to Pennzoil uni in Houston....As far as I know Pennzoil does not offer any PAO-majority oils, their best line (Ultra Platinum) is GTL.
You can check the MSDS, they are GTL.All Pennzoil 100% synthetics are 100% POA and have been since the 1990s at least. I know as I went to Pennzoil uni in Houston....
POA derived from natural gas exclusively as far as I was taught by Pennzoil....You can check the MSDS, they are GTL.
Also, the Ultra Platinum containers say "made with natural gas" on the front - definitely not PAO.
