Not old ... aged like fine wine
You may be aged like wine. I aged like milk - Now chunky and I smell a bit off.

Had an employee get into an solo vehicle accident in her 2024 F150 (aluminum doors, hood, bed...). And accidents happen - I get it. Repair bill was $16,500. When I texted her how much her little oopsie cost the department, she paused, and texted back asking if there was going to be any follow up consequences.

I texted back she was going to be put on 'Double Secret Probation'... and she didnt respond. Two days later, meeting up with her in person, she told me I'd really scared her - she thought Double Secret Probation was an actual thing. She had to use Google to find the Animal House reference. Had never seen the movie.

Kids these days!

I hated when they moved the high beam switch from the floor to the turn indicator stalk. Until I got used to it I kept getting my foot stuck in the steering wheel. šŸ˜‚

I've always loved the Bell crank contraption for the throttle!

I hated ditching it for the Exploder EFI I installed.
This was taken the day one of the threaded plugs in the cooling jackets backed out and dumped my coolant so fast I never smelled a drop of it ... until the motor got THAT hot you could smell the heat.
It never locked up though ... hasn't been driven since that day, sadly. Tore down to start a frame off, which stalled during reassembly of the frame/driveline.

I guess technically, a proper Bronco has 4 pedals (dont forget emergency brake!) AND a high beam button down there. Almost have to do the jitterbug when I'm driving her!

Had 2 of my granddaughters with me the other day. 21 and 17 years old. I said to the person in front of us, long thin one on the right. That person was kind of going slow. My 17 year old one said, are you talking about the skinny pedal. I guess I am getting old also.

Hey! I resemble that remark! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Yep - that reminds me of my Dad's 57 Chevy Pickup that I learned to drive with. And at some point the MV law required him to add turn signals to make it legal to drive.

If you remember when the high beam button was on the floor, you're old.
If you remember when the starter button was underneath the clutch pedal, you're really old!
And if you remember when you had to use your arm to signal how you were turning, then you're living on borrowed time!:lipssealed:

When I grew up it was the throttle, the clutch, and brake. and sometimes the throttle was the the steering wheel column and was a lever you pushed or pulled.
