Got my 4 Oct production notice this morning. 7/17 late reservation Mountain time, order date 1/20/2021, switched to soft top in July. 4dr Badlands, soft top, sasquatch, 2.7, tow, lux A51.

I’m still waiting for our 2 door Wildtrak to be scheduled but this means they’ve worked out the MIC top issue and hopefully 2 doors will start getting picked up sooner now but yeah, the fact it was an FE that scheduled first was to be expected but the fact its a 2 door should be a sign of good things coming!

This is going along with exactly what Ford said. Only FE's will continue to get scheduled. Any non FE MIC without a VIN and scheduled build date will be a MY22. Don't hold your breathe too long.

My path (Ford emails, dealer emails):

7/15/20: Reservation
3/2/21: order confirmed (MIC original)
4/22: production scheduled for June 28
4/15: request change to soft top (1st attempt)
5/12: inquire why Ford site still showing MIC. Reply: they haven’t updated.
6/26: production date changed to July 26
7/6: production date changed to August 16
8/5: production date changed to August 30
8/7: production date changed to September 13
8/12: Ford site still showing MIC. MIC debacle peaks. Request change to soft top (2nd attempt)
9/2: BUILT. Delivery est 9/24-9/30

So I guess because of dealer allocations, the bajillion people on this forum who went with Granger are fighting uphill in the lottery against those of us who are working with dealers with only a few orders.

I got the email too. Was beginning to lose hope for '21 because I didn't think my timestamp would put me within my dealer's allocation for this year, but apparently folks ahead of me are waiting on hard tops.
