I know it's been a few, but I just got my mirror. I have 3 wires to original mirror, white(pin 1), green(pin 9), and black. Gentex has 3 wires, orange/slate(pin 6), black/slate(pin 10), ground/black.
Were your wires like this? If so, how did you splice yours?

My mirror had 4 or 5 wires in a 10 pin connector.
I used 3 wires. One of the unused wires was reverse. Black wire was grounded. Two other wires were tied together and hooked to power at the aux switches. I did this so the mirror does not have power with the ignition off. So someone doesn't have the ability to open my garage if the bronco is left outside topless.

I didn't have a factory auto dimming mirror.

Your factory mirror wiring is:
White 1: switched power
Green 9: reverse
Black 4: ground.

You will have to find a diagram of the gentex plug and figure out which function is what. My colors were different than yours.

Looks like I found a diagram,
Orange 6: power
Black/slate 10: homelink
Is it as simple as green to orange, and white to black/slate?

Anyone install this in a base bronco without any factory mirror wiring? If so where did you get power? Thanks in advance.

I will be doing it when I run my “always on” dash cam. My thought is I can splice into it, but it will be a few weeks before I can start as I need to find out what’s happening with this electrical hum coming from all of my speakers.

Will be waiting. I actually bought the mirror before I got the bronco but put it on the back burner until now.

Since I haven't been able to source a mirror, this is my solution to not having homelink buttons. Perfect fit.

I found 2 in the junkyard just the other day. I only intend to use one of them.

Hmmmm... Great idea. I haven't had an excuse to hit a junkyard since I moved back to the states. The nostalgia..... lol.

Send me a msg if you want this other mirror. I'd like to get it off of my bench.

Anyone still interested in one of these? I ordered another for my Maverick. It’s been shipped. They are available again for $20.00. Kia.parts.com
They will contact you asking for VIN to verify it fits. Just respond back with don’t care if it fits, just want part. I called before ordering and asked if it’s available and they said yes. They order it and ship to you when it comes in.
