Posting this thread to hear some thoughts on what could be the problem before my dealership appointment on Friday. For the last few weeks my bronco seems like it's having trouble getting back up to speed after decelerating on the highway. For example if I'm doing 60mph and take my foot off the gas for a minute, then try to accelerate again, it seems like the transmission doesn't switch gears. It stays at low RPM and I don't feel the gear change like I used to. If I accelerate from a stop, it feels normal and seems to move through the gears normally, but driving at speed and trying to re-accelerate, it's like the transmission gets stuck or something.
I'm wondering if anyone recognizes this behavior or has any ideas what's happening? I haven't found something similar in the threads yet.

I assume you’ve already tried a transmission relearn and topped off the battery charge?

When you get back on it to accelerate, are you not accelerating hard enough to cause it to downshift? It’s going to try and keep the converter locked unless you give it enough throttle. Are you saying even if you go full throttle the RPMs stay low and it doesn’t accelerate?

It may be my imagination but I've thought this lately. I've taken to kicking it a little harder like @Ducati1098 suggest which works. And the other day on a winding 50 mph mountain road it seemed to always want to be a gear too high so I ran it in Sport Mode and all was good. Curious what the OP finds, maybe it's in my head.

Not directly related, but I had a 2001 Mustang that would start having problems. After a lot of troubleshooting... what seemed to work best was disconnecting the battery for 10-20 minutes to force a relearn of everything. After that -- everything worked fine. Seemed like I had to do that every month or two.

Not sure how you do that on a Bronco, but a total relearn would be one of my first thoughts.

Happy if that works for OP. Completely insane that should need to be done on a brand new vehicle if it’s the case. Regardless of the price.

Well, as a former software engineer (now retired)... newer doesn't always mean bug-free. The more complex a system (the Bronco) is... the harder it is to test out every scenario that might cause a problem. That's just the way it is.

I guess I mentioned what happened to me with my older Mustang... just as another thing to try if all reasonable alternatives fail.

And as the CrowdStrike "bug" that basically took down half of the country showed.... its best to plan for updates (I'm not a big fan of Bronco auto-updates unless I'm at home).

I didn't get any notifications that people replied to my post before I went to the dealership 😞 They told me 2 weeks until they can look at it, so I will have to go back another time because I can't leave my car there.
I assume you’ve already tried a transmission relearn and topped off the battery charge?
No... I know nothing so I didn't know that was an option but another person suggested something similar. I think I can try that.

If I punch it, it'll accelerate and change gears, but I hadn't needed to do that before. Like my driving habits haven't changed but my bronco's behavior has changed.
Did you notice such after an OTA update?
It is possible it was after an update because I know I got one in the last month, and this behavior only just started in the last month. And it's not throwing any codes, and I haven't heard any terrible noise while accelerating, so I don't think it's a mechanical issue (knock on wood).
Do you have it in Eco Mode by any chance?
Nope just normal mode
