I think I just set a record with Hi-Lift Jack

My Hi-Lift jack was delivered at 4:30 this afternoon. I ran over something that sprung up and pierced my sidewall at 6:00, I was flat in seconds. My wife brought me the high lift jack and I changed the tire by 6:30. I doubt anyone had needed a jack to change a flat within 90 minutes. Call Guinness.

Great catch. I fessed up earlier. It’s a feature of removable mud flaps when you don’t remove them Offroad.

And incidentally I’m getting soaked after asking vendors “can I just buy the side that broke” and hearing “No, you gotta buy a pair or full set”. Even for the repair kits many offer. Now I have the land of toys no one wanted as the left side of this and the right side of that “set” in a stack of containers. When’s the next swap meet near me.

Great comment. And that is it on Pearl Pass during a week long glamping trip.

A whole other discussion was hashed out at some point, my over-loaded ass (attached) on the last 2 week camping trip to PDC and BBRSP. Bottom line is I have the lift parts ready to install, and no more 7400 lb GVW 2000+ mile runs with this thing.

A bit ghetto, I know. And I wasn’t going to say it before but since you have T4R as well like me, that’s my vehicle for long loaded or towing road trips. We just bit too much off this time roughing it in BBSRP 6 days, 4 more added in PDC on trails the armored-but-barely-lifted 4Runner could not have done well.
