Here's a couple snapshots...I reversed the way I had it mounted to clear the plastic trim box around the wires and tube that goes to back window wiper-washer-defroster. Fits great and is safer from the elements and theives.Do you have any pictures of it with the hardtop on?
I think you uncovered a hidden design feature. I like it cause it's up outta the way in a space that I have no other use for. So it uses up no usable cargo area and don't looks so guaty on the outside.

If so they would have made the holes.line up with the jack, and pre-threaded the holes.
Still super easy to do in 10 minutes. Drill the jack tap the holes install...
