Just spoke to Ford via the usual number. Lady was very polite and knowledgeable.

I was originally an early July build date, pushed back many times until the generic 16-Aug date so many of us have.

That was until sometime in the last week or so.. Now I have a VIN and no production week, per Ford. My dealership is absolutely worthless, but I'll see what they say next. I'll probably wait a few minutes before calling though because I'm about out of patience with Ford at the moment.

I am an early Res (first 90 minutes) who ordered a 4 door Badlands, Cactus Gray, 2.7, Lux w/MIC top.

Just a heads up in case a.)Someone knows what's going on and b.)you have a build date around the same timeframe.. May wanna check.

Edit: Dealership says I have a tentative delivery date of Sept 20th with a finish date of Aug 21st now. REALLY feels like he's just making that up though.

Major discrepancy going on in the info coming from Ford vs Dealership.

Well, if your dealer is telling the truth, you might be able see the dates in this tracker.

https://shop.ford.com/aemservices/shop/vot/api/customerorder/?vin=1FMDE5XX0MLA00000&orderNumber=XXXX

Because the dates are likely to be in there. It's not likely, but there could be a discrepancy. Also, much of this information would also be on the sticker and easy to confirm.

https://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=1FMDE5XX0MLA00000

So there's a few sources of dates that you can verify.

Now, not everything will be in there necessarily at the same time as the dealer can always see it, BUT, it would be sufficient to say.... "Here's what I know... can you send me a screenshot of what you are seeing".

I was JUST about to move my order to a new dealership when I got my VIN, so now I'm stuck.
Donā€™t beat yourself up over that, because it would have never happened. You canā€™t change dealerships once your order has been placed. All you could have done is cancelled your existing order and placed a new order at the new dealership, which would have put you back at the end of the line.

Thanks, and good advice all around. I have been keeping an eye on my window sticker link and noticed a few days ago it started getting an error instead of the ā€œwindow sticker not releasedā€, which is why I called originally.

7/26 pushed to 8/16 like many. At one point I was assigned date of 8/18. This was all through emails to dealer and calls to ford. Then last Friday I finally received an email from ford, my first since getting a vin, that memorialized the 8/16 build week.

the last I called ford they made up some excuse that they couldnt see my build week, but I assumed it was conflated that they didnā€™t want to (or were told) not to tell me. They said contact my dealer. I really didnā€™t read into it because over my 6 or so calls into ford over the course of time, half of the people at ford have been willing to tell you your build date while others stick to their guns and tell you nothing. so while Iā€™m not reading into my last conversation with them itā€™s hard to ever know if you truly went TBD or the ford rep is in the camp of ā€œtell customers nothing and to contact their dealersā€

since reading OPs comment, now Iā€™m dying to call my dealer to say what the system says.

personally over the past week, Iā€™ve been increasingly skeptical about how they are going to make good on the mid August builds with MIC tops if they have all of these July builds still on hold (presumably waiting for good tops).

per OPs feedback from the dealer, if we find this is common for 8/16 guys, then it seems like fords strategy may be to mask the delay in the delivery time. They say you will still be ā€˜builtā€™ 8/16 week (technically true), but delivery will be longer than usual such that the first two weeks your delivery timeframe will involve the ā€˜builtā€™ bronco sitting there waiting for a clean top. If true, that doesnā€™t surprise me given what we have been hearing for the past weeks, coupled with Fords obvious, but squirrelly tactics of telling the truth but not.

I called the other day and had a very different experience (asked for more info as part of looking it all up and seemed to need more) than usual and had a similar answer, which was basically that they had no visibility into my build.

Called back later and it was more like previous calls, and they reconfirmed an 8/20 build date.

It's almost like they occasionally route calls to a different CS center that isn't the Bronco specialists and when that happens they are just loading the same tracker we can see.

Yeah I guess so, unless you have a leaky top.
If the top is leaking, they will put it inside the showroom. Lolā€¦.at least that is what the local Oldsmobile dealer in these parts used to do.

So the aug 16th Build week is just the week they will build it. The 21st is still in the week of the 16th. So nothing has changed they simply pinpointed the day to the 21st of August. I have the same build and my build day is the same. Ford only tells us they week but they dealership can see it down to the day. Just relax youā€™ll be fine.

Then they need another option, fast. My Bronco was built 3 weeks ago and has been sitting outside ever since.
Once these vehicles have been rotting outside for a few months, they won't be sellable. Not to anyone with half a brain, that is.
this isn't true. lol

nah, I'm talking about the hundreds or thousands of broncos rotting in the MAP parking lot.
There's no show room for these neglected rigs.

most dealerships park their inventory outside for months at a timeā€¦ā€¦. I think youā€™ll be OK.

Anyone remember....didn't FORD announce "full ramp" building to begin on August 2nd? What's with build dates of 8/16 > 8-19 with nothing in early August? At this rate full ramp up....there will not be a lot of 2021's built.
