Someone reassure me this isnt a dumb idea. My dealer will let me switch my model out on my reservation. Just need some reassurance I wont be missing anything vital or am overlooking anything. Im a simple guy. I dont need leather seats or big monitor screens.

Any advice is appreciated

Good call! Will save you a ton of money, and you'll still have a very capable off-roader and extra money for upgrades and modifications..

You have an FE man get the FE as you originally intended. There’s a lot of people that wanted that model but now cant get it because you have one and now don’t want it. Makes no sense. It’s gonna be a really rare vehicle.

Cant argue with that but if you were around the night everyone made their reservations and the site crashed for hours, they never initially released pricing. I essentially reserved one before I was aware of pricing.

Based on the timing of your reservation, I got mine roughly 2 hours sooner.

Translation: I have a winning lottery ticket, but some guy said he'd trade me a scratch-off ticket for it and I like scratchers...

I don't need much either as far as features. Power windows and locks, cruise control, and Bluetooth are really the only things I want. The base, in my opinion, has much more standard than I'm used to and more than I need. If you're similar to my mindset then a base Sasquatch would be wise.

Who knows if you could flip a First Edition though for profit, or perhaps it would make you feel a bit more special. It's possible it becomes valuable over time. Or more realistically, it may hold its value better than the regular trim levels. That could very well happen.

I Tried Getting it but the site kept crashing on me. By the time I got in all FEs were gone. I get the pricing wasn’t out but you had to know a limited First Edition was going to be pricey to begin with.

I’m just gonna say I can’t reassure you this isn’t a dumb idea.
