Dealer asked me today if I wanted to swap my order for a base unit.......am I crazy for saying nope?

No, if you’re not in a hurry, patience will pay off. I was told to take off MIC, tow, etc so that my order would get in sooner but I wouldn’t settle for less. I finally have blend date and window sticker for the exact build I want.

I ordered a base 13 months ago and crickets. We have 1st and 2nd day Base orders and those folks don't have a VIN either.

Base isn't faster. It's pretty much all about the hard top and the stupid tow harness. Four door puts you ahead though.

I ordered a 2 door WT with all the restraints-tow, leather, Lux. MOD bumper, roof rack, 2.7, sas, MIC. I wasn’t willing to compromise, no matter the wait. Glad I held on. I never have to ride down the road with regret. I’ve had my WT for some time now. DON’T COMPROMISE! GET WHAT YOU WANT!

Swap from a WT to a base? Negative...if it was me there's no way I'd settle for that, it is a completely different build at that point.

I'm a 7/15 res and I see a 6/6 build date on the backdoor page. I haven't changed anything since I put in my order. If you were trading up I could see but you definitely don't want to trade for less than you originally wanted

No. Why would you go from a Wild Trak to a base Bronco? Sounds like the dealership just wants your Wild Trak order. You know they wouldn't cancel your order if you switched.

Get and wait for exactly what you want. It's worth it. I had to wait a year and a half for my 2 door Basesquatch and it the the major constraints- 2 door, 2.7 and Sas. I thought about very hard in the beginning of what I wanted and I am glad I stuck with it all the way. Love the damn thing.

Your reservation is a day after mine and I’m guessing we will both have build dates in the next month or so. My dealer shared that I’m 15th of 56th on their pre September 2020 reservation list and last month they got 20 allocations scheduled. Nearly all of their early reservations have MIC and other constraints. After waiting this long I wouldn’t settle for less than what you want.

I am getting a Base since I was looking more for a canvass than a finished picture. If the dealer can provide some assurances you'll get the Base sooner, and I mean a lot sooner, and you're good with building out your desired configuration, go for it. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother.

Base SASQUATCH 2.7 has the same. number as constraints as a WT before adding packages.
