I pretty much agree.
The only reason I went base Base is because the daughter wanted to learn to drive manuals.
(No BaseManSquatch for 2021)
So far, one of her friends is interested also , so we've been giving my clutch and starter one hell of a work out!
Lol!
My last commuter car I bought had a stick, simply because I wanted my son to learn to drive one, while knowing it a skill he may never use again. And of course now a couple nephews had to give it a go.
