Throw me in the bigger is better group.
2.7 unless it's considerably more and/or tied to a pricier trim level. Money will win out in the end, I just can't bring myself to spend so much on a vehicle I put aost 30k miles/year in.
And yes I will be towing occasionally as well. And..... My V6 Mustang don't sound too bad with pipes on it, not V8 good, but way better than 4 banger doofy sound ?

2.7 in a 4 dr. for tow ratings and the ten speed automatic
Need to see the gear ratios combined with tire size and rear gear
A buddy has a 7.3 gas in a 250 that gets better mileage in 8th than 10th
The 2.3 in a 2dr.with a manual would be some fun tho
I am going with a bare naked one....xl type..... does it come in 2wd ?.....

2.3 because less rod per main. With the 2dr and the low gearing, 300fp tq is more than enough. But we all already knew this LoLz!

Nope, 4x4 only from what I understand.
Why would you want 2WD anyway?(I know the answer...just teasing)

It will be interesting to see what the bare bones is.....I want one to just putt around in as extra vehicle......the only time I would go off road......is if somebody runs me off the road...

Literally not an option for me. Since the beginning I decided that if it were only a 4 cylinder than I wouldn't buy it. It was my only direct nope out.

Im really suprised no one has said both. Especially since they add up to 5.0!!!

but i will be happy with the 2.7. If thats not small enough to be efficient enough then i dont know what is. Id prefer to hop it up a touch till the warranty is over then maybe overhaul it and add the bigger turbos. I will be happy with 550 hp from a 2.7. Hope it sounds like an indycar.

Give me a 2.7 and a long throw shifter. 2.3 is too loud in the explorer.

Planning on the 2.7, definitely a fan of having more than enough.
