My lease is up in May of 21' and with a little on the way i cant just get a 2000$ pos to get me by. I wont back out unless I cant extend my lease or its too late but I would need a guaranteed date which is obviously uncertain atm.

No bueno was giving my son my F150 to take to college. I'm going to have to buy a beater
I'm in the same boat! I have a 14 year old Yukon and 11 year old Dodge Ram and was waiting to give the Yukon to my daughter going off to college since I've waited a loooooong time for a new rig.

Ok. I vote for calling it a 2022 model year. It would make no logical sense to keep the 2021 designation.

I wouldn’t expect any on dealer lots until spring 2022 at this point

even if they are on the lot they won’t last
That's a deal killer for me. I was really hoping to sit in one, see the color, and drive it before pulling the trigger. I just can't commit to spending $30k+ sight unseen.

I've gone without a car for 5 months now waiting on some solid news and dates from Ford. If they would give us some concrete facts, I'd be willing to go with a beater until Spring of next year. But this bait and switch stuff is exhausting and they've lost me as a customer.

Off to the Toyota dealership I go...first non-Ford in 15 years.

I’d love the time for bigger down payment as well but with the reservation, my down payment is due in December when I finalize, no matter when it finally gets built.
Your down payment is due when you convert your reservation to an order? I just converted a Sport reservation to an order and my dealer didn't ask for any more money (paid the $100 res. fee).

I hope that doesn't move the release of the Raptor/Warthog to the right as well.

It would stink to get your Bronco in '22 (that you ordered in '20), just as a bigger/badder version is revealed. I imagine I'd have buyer's remorse to some degree.
If they announce the Raptor version, and you really want it, just don't take delivery of you current order. I'm sure the dealership won't mind. They'll sell it still.

Did you have more info about the Mach-E? I think you probably did, but I'm not sure. It certainly didn't have the demand. If they can get the B&P site up next month and have the order process a smooth experience, everything should be okay.
I’m a tech so my info is limited but we do have a new model training course for the mach-e but nothing for bronco or bronco sport.

No way I’m putting a large down payment at ordering time especially if they can’t give
Me a delivery time..

no chance in Hell

If it's as bad as they say with CY2022 delivery, I'd strongly suggest closing MY2021 reservations and open MY2022. Factories can only make so many vehicles (any product) up to capacity. Once capacity is sold out, the production run for the next production year gets scheduled. Nothing new, so why is Ford not following this typical practice?

My reservation went in 4 hours after the reveal. Hoping I’m still in the mid-2021 crowd.

Interesting. Two years from now is a long time.
I'm not a brand loyalist at all. I preordered the Bronco because its the best factory offroad vehicle going right now.

This gives Toyota and Jeep plenty of time to launch a competing product. At the very least, we're looking for a refreshed Tundra and new 4runner.

If something else comes to market with a better value and does what the Bronco can do, that'll be where my money goes.

Sounds to me like Ford needs to start production earlier then. They had to know that demand for this vehicle was going to be high. We've only been waiting since it was teased in 2017 or 2018 (I can't remember). They need to hash out all the pricing details, including the accessories, let people configure, then start production the moment the first order comes in. I know this may be impossible, but it's still what they need to do.

Yeah, that doesn't sound right.
I've seen others mention that when they place an order for a vehicle they might be required to pay a $500-1000 deposit, but not the full down payment. By all accounts, the financing isn't worked out until delivery anyway, so don't see how they could even know your down payment amount when you order.
