Says it is fully servicable.
How do you service the can? (Clean filters)

How do mishimoto hose clips removable? Press on grey parts?
In short, every component is removable from the can. Specifically, our bronze filter threads into the top of the can so it can be removed and cleaned thoroughly

I'm not sure I understand your second question, are you referring to the OEM-styled PCV fittings?

When are we going to get word on the 2.7 dual can setup? I would like to examine all my options before making a hasty purchase! I know the competition already has a slick dual can setup but i would like to stick with Mishimoto if possible.
Our dual can kit is still in the works for the 2.7L! We'll also be offering an upgrade kit for a limited time for those who purchased the PCV-side setup and want to add protection to both sides!

I m looking at this and really wonder about it's usefulness. I run straight synthetic oil always. Iv only done my first oil change on my badlands and will see after more. The reason I say this is that I have a 2002 F150 with 200k+ Miles on it and intake and engine upper is clean and still shiny. Just saying.
Think of a catch can as added protection to your engine, and a less invasive service interval you'll need down the line. The 2.3L uses direct injection, meaning there's no fuel/detergents constantly washing over the intake valves (like the port injection from your F-150) so carbon can build up much easier and lead to sticky valves which require walnut blasting to properly clean. In our experience, though we've encountered port-injection engines that still have issues with carbon buildup over time. Removing the blowby from the system entirely mitigates sapped performance and efficiency, and expensive trips to the shop.

Just got mine installed.
One slightly bloody knuckle and a few curse words.
you can hardly tell its there. It blends into the other thousand black hoses.

I can say there is not much room under the can for removal. It'll be snug
Why not mount nearer to the brake booster? It appears to have a little more room. I didn't measure so...
Just curious

Looking forward to seeing how much it'll collect compared to their reference test.
2nd that. If that can is 3/4 full it's definitely gonna spill, trying to manipulate out of that tight spot.

We do have drain kits available that install on the bottom of the can for a simpler service!

Mishimoto Catch Can Drain Kit

I'll have to double check but I don't even think there's enough room for a barb fitting and hose to connect to the bottom of the can in its current location.

Anybody know if the ranger engine cover would be in the way for this CC?

Just from a quick peek at our Ranger and Bronco, there shouldn't be any issues fitting both

A 2002 F150 is not Direct injection, it is Port injection. So you wouldn't run into the same carbon build up on the valves. The 2.7L will be more similar to the way the 2002 F150 is because it is Direct/Port so it is "Self Cleaning". The 2.3L is only Direct and thus will not clean itself.

I see these are listed as "CARB Approved - Yes" on Motoroso's website (specifically the 2.3L-associated unit) but I don't see a corresponding executive order. Is this really CARB approved?
@Mishimoto

Edit: Incorrectly stated CARB approval was listed on Mishimoto's website instead of Motoroso's.

Hey @BasedBronco - We do not state "CARB Approved" on any of our product pages. This catch can kit is a closed loop system and does NOT vent to atmosphere.

Ack, you're correct. I must have followed a link from a Motoroso video. My mind saw the M's and must have liked the length and prevalence of o's in your brand names! My mistake and thanks for the clarification.

If it matters to you, here's where I saw it.
