Hey, maybe they’ll lower the price for 2022… You know, to compensate us for our patience…

To me it won't matter. Example....price out a 2021 and it's 45k, ok I order it. If I had priced it out and it was 46k, I'd still order it and wouldn't have known the difference. It is what it is. But, how much price increase is one more thing to speculate and talk about while we have nothing else to do while waiting for our Broncos. :giggle:
How much price increase we can expect between MY21 and MY22 is exactly what this thread is about! It's most definitely not about whether you would have noticed a price difference in a hypothetical scenario that by its own nature specifically precludes you from knowing that very thing. Holy Hannah what the H E double hockey sticks is happening to this place?

Bronco is already overpriced as is. My threshold will be $500 more if interest has not gone up by then. Sold my 18’ Raptor hoping to get a 21’ Raptor but they overpriced it out of my range. Ordered my 18’ Raptor with added options for $50k and 21’ Raptor starts at $64k. That is grossly overpriced for very little improvements.

I expect it to be sizable, they have huge demand (due mostly to the inability to produce reasonable numbers of them), they hit it hard for 2022, then, when demand is filled, make a big deal of holding the price for 2023 (since they essentially doubled up on the increase in '22) That is my thought anyway.

Wait til 2023/24 when they have more of them on dealer lots than they can sell. I purchased my 2018 F150XLT something close to $10K below MSRP and with 0% interest.
I'm not buying new vehicle for squat until this global supply chain craziness is past
us - and not just on Bronco but everything. Guessing/hoping 2 years??

My F150 is getting a new engine under warranty and I looked at a 2017 F250 diesel as that is my next truck purchase. MSRP window on that truck 4 years ago was $68,600 and the
dealer is selling it as a low miles (26k) certified truck for $67K...meaning for more than the
original owner paid as they almost certainly didn't pay MSRP. Nutty times...

MRSP will be more than anywhere from $1,500 to $5,000 and this will likely be across all automobiles if not in My22 definitely in My23 IMHO. As we are seeing Dealers have done their own markups and I have seen markups as high as $20,000. I believe that we are witnessing a shift in automobile price inflation that will hold and carry forward meaning that the bar of what a good value is will be indefinitely raised. The fact that people are buying vehicles with dealer markups is a signal to the auto industry that demand accepts a higher price than the current MRSP scale. Right now a lot of people can get more money for a 2-3-year-old vehicle than what they paid for brand new according to some posts that I have read on forums. Good luck when buying another vehicle that you don't lose those gains and some. If you can order a Bronco and get in writing from your dealer to agree to sell it at an agreed price I would definitely do so immediately as I believe these dealer markups are here to stay for a while. The bronco is a perfect vehicle where a $20k mark-up will still sell in today's markets.

I do got a good dealer but there are many that don’t there more shady dealers than good ones I hope the whole dealership model goes away and the customer orders and gets delivered to them like tesla
Oh, like the Tesla that doesn't allow competition? Like the Tesla that goes against the law and won't let independents work on your Tesla, so you have a choice? Like Tesla who doesn't allow you, the customer to have a choice?

Right....just like Tesla.

Do you know how many hundreds of thousands of good honest people get up in the morning and drive to work at a car dealership with no more motivation than to earn a living and have a happy life and treat other people with respect? It' so easy to say what you said, it's much harder to actually learn something and act according to facts. There are dishonest people in the world, no question, but car dealerships do not have a lock on the majority of them.

So, with all the criticism of Ford, you're saying that you'd rather only deal with Ford, or other manufactures, and not have a choice of where to buy your cars, or where to get them serviced or repaired? I think you have a very narrow perspective. Or have no actual info of your own and simply regurgitate what you choose to repeat.

What the heck is happening is that we have nothing better to do than spend time speculating about something that is impossible to know, like it really means something. My analogy was to the point that it doesn't mean anything. If you want to discuss it, show me that this speculation means something?

Your post had nothing to do with the point of the thread. You were talking about if the MY21 price had been higher in the first place. The thread is about what the price increase between MY21 and MY22 will be.

Yup that may explain your confusion. The OP:
We know there is likely to be a 2022 MSRP increase. I reserved/ordered after the March 19, 21 date, so AFAIK I do not qualify for any price protection. Does anyone have any insight on how much of an increase we are looking at? I’m planning on a slight amount but is it likely to jump quite a bit (thousands)?

I’d really prefer not to option down to stay within my planned budget too much so I am a little concerned I guess?

I know noone will know for sure until the B&P/order banks open up but wasn’t sure if anyone had any insight form Ford’s previous moves or any whispers through the grapevine? :)
Your response:
To me it won't matter. Example....price out a 2021 and it's 45k, ok I order it. If I had priced it out and it was 46k, I'd still order it and wouldn't have known the difference. It is what it is. Now if you're still confused go back and reread the first paragraph of the OP and then the first three sentences of your response. If that doesn't do it for you then perhaps seek specialist help.
