2023 Jeep new color announced: Reign Purple

I prefer black oil slick blue purple to the Jeep Grimace color.

I have a Mach 1 ordered in this color (Mischievious Purple). Dark, but really pops in the AZ sun where I live.

I would worry about resale value. Just last Tuesday, I bought my daughter a used Cadillac ATS. The color is “majestic plum”. We had seen two other ATSs same model, same year, slightly fewer miles, same condition, but different colors. One was priced 7k more and the other was 9k more than I paid. I feel like I got a great deal, but I’m convinced that it was so cheap because it is purple. You basically cut the number of perspective buyers in half when you paint a car purple.

I have never sold a vehicle until it is beyond its usable life and I have driven it to its inevitable death. And at that point it needs to be towed away.

Ford should absolutely meet FCA at a similar level of insanity and eventually work towards offering the Bronco in a bazillion different novelty colors.

11. desert tan
12. slightly darker silver
13. silver that's darker than #10 but also just a few hints lighter than #4 silver
14. Darker black
15. red so dark it's black
16. blue so dark it's black
17. Black so dark it might be dark blue
18. pearl white
19. slightly-cream pearl white
20. super bright white
21. metallic white
22. Metallic black but with little bits of blue or chocolate in there, although it's just black from 2' away

I hope you'll be able to sleep at night with so few options.

* In the case of my F150, gray meant “we’re at the end of the model year, and this is the only one we could find anywhere, and we’ll give you 0% financing, OR you can wait 6 months for a new one in Race Red and pay full pop…”

Which is honestly why I think there are so many blackwhitesilvergray vehicles out there today. Dealers load up on “safe” colors, and after they sit there for months drawing nothing but yawns, they get discounted and then people reluctantly buy them.

Either that, or the majority of the population is boring as fuck.
