Hey guys/gals - I'm thinking of trading in my non SAS Bronco Auto for a SAS manual after reading pages and pages of MT issues I have no idea if these are worked out or still an issue. Looking for advice on if I should or should not get an MT, I would love a 3 peddle but don't want it if there are still the issues, thanks for any feedback!

24MY will still likely have the same issues.
The transmission part number was just updated for build dates 9/16/24 and later, but nobody knows what was changed or if it resolved any issues.

Thats what I was worried about, will need to drive it I guess to determine if it's worth changing or not.

@Ducati1098 is correct.

And just to add on to that, we have yet to see a transmission failure or even damage that's been linked to the issue. The photos of the transmissions that have been taken apart (as well as the transmissions I've seen in person) show no unusual wear related to the issue. Granted most Broncos out on the road are probably sub-50,000 miles, but thus far it seems to be just a noise.

Personally, I wouldn't let it stop you from buying a manual if you want one. I've been more than happy with mine. But up to you obviously.

Agreed. Had another one apart last week, zero signs of damage or any issues. Just the typical scraping noise.
Don’t let the noise scare you out of enjoying the manual. It’s not hurting anything if you can deal with the sound.

Thanks guys and I agree could care about a little noise just want to make sure there isn't a functional issue and after reading a few 3 months out dealer fix estimates it has me concerned. The one I'm looking at is also Gold certified so 100k so not real worried if the numbers come in acceptable, I'm going to jump!

I am just shy of 50k on my '23 SAS Badlands 2 door, noisy in any temperature conditions summer or winter. Changed all driveline fluids at 25k will do it again at 50k because I'm a nut about maintenance. The noise does not bother me. I'm more concerned with electronic glitches than a little noise. Bought extended warranty for electronics not transmission, just turns out it's covered as an added bonus.

I am at 25,000 miles with my MT and so happy I bought a manual. Zero problems, zero noises, maximum fun.

note: I did buy the 10 year extended warranty from Granger.

Not sure where you are located but most of the people with rattle noises (me included) only hear them when weather is below 50ish degrees on cold start. I had no idea I had the rattle upon taking delivery in summer but it reared its head as soon as fall came around. Basically, it’s hard to know if yours is affected unless it’s cold out (and dealer hasn’t warmed it up) - best time to buy a manual is winter for most for this reason. That being said, don’t think I could own a Bronco without it… such a fun transmission.

I have a '23 manual with just over 22K on the clock. No issues that I can point out.

At the same time, my '69 Bronco has a ZF 5 speed which is noisy as heck (always has been), and I also used to have a dry-clutch Ducati, so I may be immune to noisy transmissions and clutches.

We love our 2dr manual. Such a perfect drivetrain. Just fun! Exceptional Shifter feel and easy to drive. FP tune makes it pull hard

I agree with everyone else. I love my manual and wouldn't have it any other way. No issues other than a little noise every now and then. Doesn't get super cold where I live so that helps I'm sure.

Just hit 36k on my ā€˜21 and I’ve had the noise since 10k miles. Replaced synchro rings once, noise went away for 1,000 miles and came back. I have it year round, even if it’s 100 degrees out. I’ve decided to accept it as it doesn’t affect transmission performance or shifting processes.

I do however experience ā€œbuckingā€ from time to time where it seems like I’m bouncing the car at low speeds in first or second gear. The clutch pedal is fully disengaged so I know it isn’t my feet positioning. Dealer can’t duplicate it either.

Despite the bucking, I love the car and shifting my own gears. Worth it!
