Hi Guys, this may have been asked already so apologies in advance.

Just got my 2-door Bronco and want to install new tires on stock wheels without a lift and no removal of crash bars.

How do 285/70/17 vs 285/75/17 compare, and will they affect overall off-road/on-road performance?

Any pictures of a 2-door with 285/75/17 and no lift would be super helpful as well, just so I can see what that visually looks like as i already know it looks awesome on the 4-door.

Thanks!

Not an expert but... simple math says 30mm more lift (and diameter) m, 15mm more ground clearance. That's about it. Neither should rub... I think.

Seems like it has been done and they were able to retain the crash bars on several rigs here.
With factory wheels at +55mm offset, you have a rub at full lock, but with wheels similar to Squatch at +30mm you should not.
The 285/75 is probably the tallest you can go without removing the crash bars (33.9") .... but , just for reference and to show that all of these Broncos were made to fit up to 35" tires ... here's my baseBase with 35's (34.5"), a mere . 6" more than the 285/75's.

Looks awesome. Thanks a ton. I think I'm just going to go with the 285/70/17 for now without a lift/crash bar removal while retaining stock wheels. I'm thinking of BFGoodrich 285/70 R17 121/118R All Terrain T/A KO2 .

For reference and future comparison, you can plug in the parameters in the tire calculator at Tire Size:
Ford Bronco 285/70/17 or 285/75/17 on 2 door Bronco with stock wheels ? 1699615857439

The height gain is achieved by the greater sidewall. The width (285) stays the same. You should have no issues choosing either tire on your stock +55 offset wheels. The stock crash bars can remain. Or if you want to maintain crash bars, there are replacements from 4WP. Boss4x4 has them on sale.

285 70 17... no lift or crash bar removal. I went with Milestar Patagonias since I only intend on some mild off roading and beach combing...

Awesome. Any issues with the spare tire fitting on the rack at all?

I had to remove and trim down the bumpers that stabilize it on the tailgate.
