All,
I've searched but can't quite find a complete answer to my questions so I'm asking for some real world feedback.
I have a 2023 2Dr Wildtrack which I selected specifically for the Sasquatch package and the HOSS 3.0 suspension. I do a lot of solo backcountry driving on potholed fire roads with washboards. I'm considering installing the Ford factory front winch M-1821-B but I don't want to screw up my ride.
My questions for those with 2Dr HOSS 3.0 who have added a front winch are:
1) Does the addition of a winch package feel like there is a 200 pound person standing on your bumper as you drive, or is it barely noticeable?
2) Did the small sag induced by the weight of the winch+plate affect the valve behaviour of the shocks?
3) Did you end up switching front springs, add collars or something else in response? (other than for adjusting rake)
I will opt for a removable mount such as the Maximus-3 or similar if it's too much of a compromise.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Rob
