We only went up it. We saw another group coming down, that looked worseI did the off rodeo over 3 years ago. And they did a different trail then 7mile rim. And didn’t have anything ad difficult as wipeout hill. So maybe they changed their minds about sending newbies on it.. Not sure which direction you guys did it. But we came in at the top of wipeout hill. And then went down it. And then back up it.
It is a Bad Ass tents 2 door short rack. The side pieces are an extra purchase. You can buy them 1 at a time if you want. And they can be taken on and off really easily and does not affect the main rack.We only went up it. We saw another group coming down, that looked worse
I was also curious what rack you have. Looks kinda like the Trailrax half rack that I have, which has the ability to mount on either or both sides - I have the pak rax and some rotopax cans, but have not put them on yet. Not sure I've seen your rack before.![]()
When I went two years ago, we didn't do Wipeout hill. We went east from the Red Cliffs Lodge to (I believe) the Dome Plateau trailhead. We did go up a fairly steep hill (maybe 24 degrees IIRC), but I'm certain it wasn't Sevenmile Rim because that is in the complete opposite direction. I wonder if he remembers it incorrectly? I can't imagine throwing beginners on a difficult trail, considering some had never been off-road at all before.I did the off rodeo over 3 years ago. That's exactly where it is - fun spot. And I stand corrected, the trailrax rack can add on either side, but looks like the BA rack is modular for all 4 of those individual mounting points. I've really liked the trailrax, just need an adventure that actually requires extra gas and water, lol. also your photos look like you are at rattlesnake canyon out at 5 mile pass in Utah.
Ha, I saw that pic and I said, "That looks just like this:"It is a Bad Ass tents 2 door short rack. The side pieces are an extra purchase. You can buy them 1 at a time if you want. And they can be taken on and off really easily and does not affect the main rack.

it was 100% sevenmile rim, and wipeout hill. I'm quite familiar with moab. I'm still shocked they took beginners up it - it was honestly a bit of a turning point for me on the capability of the bronco going up wipeout, and watching legit newbies go up it with no issues. When I went two years ago, we didn't do Wipeout hill. Elephant hill is one of the next trails on my list. My wife works in Moab every month. So might try elephant hill next month if I have enough time. That's exactly where it is - fun spot. Yes I know hard to believe. Only rear locker, pizza cutter tires to top it all off. It does everything that I want it to do. And if it doesn’t, then I am probably in over my head. And back off and take a different route.Spacers, no SAS, no Hoss 3.0 ... how can this be?Go Black Diamond go!

Honestly hells revenge is not that difficult. You can bypass any that is tough. And your Wildtrak can handle most of it. Hells revenge is just super steep in places. So if you don’t like that kind of stuff then maybe don’t go. I drove hells revenge without a spotter. But there were some places where I needed one on 7 mile rim. Just sharing my experiences on the 2 different trails.thank you. I just received my copy and was looking through it. And it does listed as difficult. I'm fine doing a bronco wave, and been on some shelfs in Indiana. if I can crawl up/goose up it, I'll be fine. just dont want to end up somewhere not passable. I'll goto to hells revenge just to lookplanning everything out. will add these to the list.
All I can say about Hell’s Gate is stay passenger about half way up.thank you. I just received my copy and was looking through it. And it does listed as difficult.
