Lol I think their reputation is no longer good. Has anyone just popped into their shop for a shake down? If I gave full price and local I’d be there picketing and slandering their name. Don’t even have the balls to be honest.
What? What do you think you would be shaking down? They are offering a full refund to anyone that wants it. I think we just found the troll that didn't spend a dime...

I still don't understand why any issues with the foam injection process were not discovered/rectified months ago while they were "waiting for the rubber".
To me, "final assembly" means all the panels are complete and just waiting to have the gaskets/glass installed.
You don't understand the complexities of actually building something like this. Its a little more complicated than getting a PhD in [censored] studies at your state university.

Yup I don’t frivolously throw 7k around and wait “patiently “. Now throw some dinner scraps under the bridge.

shake down, also known as grilling them with questions.Glad my 7k is making me money instead of someone else. Sounds like they grabbed all your money for start up. They weren’t up front with that. If it is a kickstarter then sure it’s a gamble, but this is supposed to be a quality stand up company according to all the filtered reviews on their site. Sounds like your butthurt about your 7k, no? Sure, they can refund you, but they still made money on that 7k. Flame on mutha….

I don't understand, that's why I'm asking...

What I know, is ADV told us in December of LAST YEAR that-
-All parts were ready for "final assembly" (Even posting photos of panels stacked up waiting to be put together)
-The FINAL missing pieces were the highly anticipated "Rubber" which was needed for said final assembly.
-On May 4th, 2023, they sent an email that "Rubber has arrived and FINAL assembly has begun".
-And now, there were issues detected with parts that should have been completed months ago.
How were issues with the foam injection process or paint not discovered before now, if those parts were already completed?

I'm not saying I don't believe it, I just don't understand it.

From their December email:
"Your hardtop is entering the final stage of production, which is ASSEMBLY.
At this time, we are waiting on the final piece of the puzzle (rubber).
As soon as that arrives from our supplier, we will finish the last assembly process and contact you to provide a shipping or pickup timeline."

From their May 4th, 2023 email:
"Rubber has arrived and final assembly has BEGUN".

Lol you don’t understand. They should’ve had the design and fab all figured out, but they didn’t. They wanted to be 1st and it fucking bit them in the ass.

I think you and adv need to brush up on business and ethics. Maybe get your phd in those at community college

All I can think of is, while they were waiting around for months on the rubber, they started to notice their tops were delaminating. And that threw a wrench in the whole process. They won’t give any specifics on their QC issue though, so who knows.

This is why I'd like to see some recent (honest) reviews/updates from the "trusted experts" they gave early tops...

🍿

I do agree with the "while they were waiting" theory.

Exactly 11 months ago (Nov 2022) someone from the other Bronco forum posted pics from a site visit to John at ADV. They installed a hardtop on a customers Bronco. I was so hopeful that the tops would be shipping soon after, but the rest is history. I’m not sure if I can post a direct link to the post, but here are the pics. You will notice there is no headliner.

that is interesting that the wiper is mounted on the top left not center.
its great for me because the view on the right side is then unobstructed when i back into my driveway with the infamous telephone pole in the way .
