You are so right, some of us understand product development, those that don't, fake it with excuses, such as "supply chain issues", as I said back on Feb 28, 2022, when many of us saw this train going off the track, before it hardly started.
One rule of thumb we use on some engineering projects is 90% of the work will be completed in 100% of the scheduled time.

Then you go back to management (or the banker) and ask them to double your budget and double your development schedule in order to complete the last 10% of the work.
