I've been playing around with the AI stuff recently and just thought I'd share a few AI renders I came up with for an EV Bronco.

Listening to a podcast concerning Scout Motors they feel the infrastructure will be there in 5 years. It's a gamble for sure but it certainly feels that government is pushing towards this direction with funding and rebates at the retail level.

Those are cool renders.

Thought I saw something with Toyota working on 900+ mile range batteries. For off-road use and towing, etc, even if it drops a huge percentage, I'd be good with 300-ish miles.

Heck, that's what the Bronco gets now. 😂

Don’t hold your breath. Solid state batteries for commercial use are still a long way off if ever. The useless short range of electric cars only make sense for shorter commutes.

Needs a removable top. Only reason I even considered a bronco was that option, otherwise why put up with Fords subpar quality….just get a 4Runner.

I wouldn't buy a 4Runner for its looks and subpar technology/innovation. That goes for several Toyota's - Feels like I'm sitting in a time capsule.

I know they're reliable, but they need to up their styling and innovation game, IMO. If they did that, I'd seriously look at them.

They are cool renders, I just can't figure out why anyone that would use a car for any more than a short commute would ever want an all electric car.
  • Quiet Ride
  • Insanely fast acceleration
  • Charge at home while you sleep
  • Hardly if ever change your brakes
  • Modern collision avoidance is amazing, it reacts faster than a human ever could
  • Automatic mode in traffic is absolutely stellar, though this this point and the one before isn't exclusive to EVs
To me its just another fuel choice, and less a religious debate. I don't think we'll see an EV that will recharge as fast as refilling a gas tank anytime soon, so for that application ICE still reigns king. I do think folks rush over the long-term cost/recycling/infrastructure needs to power these things.

If cutting edge is more of a concern then reliability then yeah I agree but I’ve spent 30 years in various 4x4 Toyotas and never once was I stranded. My shiny new ‘23 bronco on the other hand, with a whole 371 miles on it is currently in the process of being bought back by Ford. Quality is not Job 1 anymore unfortunately. I am ordering another Bronco no hesitation but I am not kidding myself that all this new cutting edge tech is reliable at all.
