Anderson Composites Hard Tops Delivered?

Mine is a white one as well, that might be some of my issue.

Looks like I placed my order on like 5/17, so figured 12 weeks would be mid August, 16 would put me into September. So a 9/6 date was right on target. I emailed this morning to see if he can get any update since we're getting closer.

I watched the ADV stuff for quite a while but I wasn't going to drop the cash till they started making actual deliveries rather than Vaporware. I saw this AC thing come out of nowhere with actual tops, and it's the same design as the OEM which is a plus IMO. We'll see if my decision pays off.

Well...just found out this morning that my top is "delayed". The original delivery ETA of 9/6 has now been pushed back to "mid to late October" due to " They are having issues getting all of the small components to put the top together. " per my retailer. Little disappointed, and of course I'm sure Anderson won't offer a discount on this delay either.

Curious... Knowing a bit about composite construction and engineering what problems do people have with the OEM top? It is a pretty standard layup of a foam core composite.

I've had zero issues with mine.

Curious... Knowing a bit about composite construction and engineering what problems do people have with the OEM top? It is a pretty standard layup of a foam core composite.

I've had zero issues with mine.

The OEM top actually has a cardboard core surrounded by a super thin plastic shell. A pin prick and moisture is all it takes to have one go south.

Anderson’s is parts shortage since they use OEM components for glass and seals and such

I just spoke to Anderson Composites. They have pushed the ship date till Mid to late October. They are having issues getting all of the small components to put the top together.

Geraldo Rivera announced he's doing a Big Reveal in November.

Yesterday I heard from Lethal Performance that the top is now set to be "assembled by mid November" and then delivered after that. If you're keeping track, that's 3 months now of it being pushed back from the original 16 weeks maximum. Ready in August, ready in September, ready in October...now ready in November.
