Jesus. For that kind of money I'm either spending a little bit more and getting an F150 Raptor R or spending a little bit less and getting a Wrangler 392.

Cancel the damn thing, you're better off without it.
You haven't been price shopping either of those vehicles. I cross shopped 392 and tried to cross shop Raptor R but they were like looking for the imaginary friend of a unicorns blood cell.

23' 392 was priced at $103,500 with everyone knowing a 24' model refresh was coming.

Saw my first in person Raptor R Saturday. Sticker was 110k, they are trading hands for over $130k

Fully loaded Braptor at new sticker is $99k. Pricing is crazy, but it is what it is. At the end of the day the Bronco Raptor distinguishes itself in enough ways to drive those sales. To those who want it, great. To those who don't, great as well. Everyone wishes the pricing on all Broncos could go back to 2021' MSRP (or lower).

I take a step back an appreciate that the 6G Bronco even exists.

Hi all! I got to the table and my dealer is saying I don’t qualify for price lock.
I was a part of the golden ticket program and my order got bumped from 2022 to 2023.
Placed my order sept 2022 for the 2023 year.

anyone have any insights other than the sales rep telling me no? I really don’t want to pt 10k more.
I had a similar experience last Monday. The 'Bronco specialist' I have been dealing with since the beginning wasn't there as a SM comes out and tries to tell me it's going to be $98k. Um NO. He tells me they put in the VIN and it didn't come back with Price Protection. I have a signed sales order with $73k base plus options to $77k. The Bronco SM finally gets there and not one more words from anyone about the price and price protection. They honored my SO. My order date was 9/9/22, so I did not get the PP and ended up bumped to the $4k increase from $69k to $73k. The only thing that wasn't on my original SO was the upgraded leather I changed to last minute. Sales tax and license added, walked out paying $88k. I'm a day 1 reservation holder and GT hand raiser. A little over 3 years later, I'm a Raptor owner.

I was told the process was a rebate, which is something I had heard when calling in, so that is awesome you got to pay the lower price upfront.

The truck is pretty awesome so far, but now i need to figure out how to free up space for it.

Sorry to revive this thread, but I actually did end up getting a rebate. I had to buy the truck at current MSRP (and pay taxes on it :( ), but after 3 or 4 months I got a check in the mail for the difference, which was ~$10K.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Raptors!

Glad you got the $10k, but that's not how the system is "supposed" to work. The rebate is supposed to go back to the dealership and you should have only paid the agreed price from your order. My 23 Braptor was ordered in Oct 22 and was just built on 11/16/23 and is awaiting shipment. I was told by my dealership (who confirmed with the regional rep) that I am price-protected, but we shall see what happens once it gets there.

At the end of the day for the state of Wisconsin, it doesn't matter. Turns out they charge sales tax on rebates. I owed the state another 600 for my 3425 PO from Ford which get's listed as a rebate.

If you could find one (you can’t) you’re going to spend a ton more to procure a Raptor R. Not to mention it’s a completely different vehicle built with a different purpose.
Question: Is the F-150 Raptor R primarily for open desert speed or is it also a capable rock crawler like the Braptor?

It's probably better than 95% of the rigs out there, but as compared to the Braptor it is hampered by worse approach, break over and departure angles and related - it's long wheelbase.

My understanding from talking to corporate marketing is that the dealer can choose whether to take the upfront loss and wait 45 days for the check or charge you full and give you a check when it comes in 45 days.

This is 100% correct. The dealer would HAVE to take the upfront loss and wait for the rebate. My ppl were very skittish about the rebate and didn't want to hold the loss, which I assume most of these dealerships would prefer to do.

Thank goodness for Price Protection on 23 orders! I just finalized my paperwork with my dealership today...Window sticker and MSRP $95,745, I paid $81,360 + tax. He also advised that Ford will not be doing price protection on "Halo" vehicles beginning with the 2024 production year.
