See, at 6’ 10” you’ve surely had to condition yourself to get in and out of vehicles in a different way than most people, so you already have the muscle memory to avoid hitting that knob.6'10"
I think I hit it once in the last 15 months?

God, we have another broken one or maybe it was a design flaw...anyways, can you try and do better please!Yes, Ford design flaw. I just check the knob every time I exit the Bronc. Just added to the to-do-list after I park it, turn off the ignition, put in second gear, pull up the e-brake, etc. You get the picture. Some define me as anal, or whatever disorder term is currently used to describe this behavior by the medical community today. I define it as normal which use to mean responsible back in the day. Be that as it may, that is a separate issue. Hitting the knob with your knee is a real thing that many of us have (obviously) experienced…Nothing to do with height or hitting the knob. There is a known issue with the lights. They will just turn on by themselves and then off after a few minutes. It will sometimes be on "on" instead of auto when you get out so it dings. But it will often just do it on its own.
EDIT: Apparently you can go get it fixed.
Well yeah, but that isn't turning it on by itself with nobody in it. If the problem is really just hitting it with your knee, solution is don't hit it with your knee.Be that as it may, that is a separate issue. This. Had my switch replaced, end of problem...Nothing to do with height or hitting the knob. There is a known issue with the lights. I need to stop being lazy and do this. And get the backup camera 4L issue fixed. Didn't think it would ever affect me until it did.This. Had my switch replaced, end of problem...
I think its actually both. Just last night I had what you posted happen, I got out and there was a glitch like scenario where I know I didn't hit anything but the lights were ON. Other times I have 100% grazed the underside of the knob with the top of my knee.Nothing to do with height or hitting the knob. There is a known issue with the lights.
