Well, for reference I can say a tacform 20mm ball that has a pass through for an M6 or 1/4-20 bolt doesn't work.

An M6 bolt is too thick to fit through the hole in the rail.

Will measure to see if a M5 would work.

1/4-20 bolt is too thick as well.

Home depot didn't have a long enough M5 bolt, so guess I need to order one off amazon.

I've decided to go a different direction.

Evidently the paint wasn't fully cured when I received and installed it, so there are some small nicks in the paint. I'll get pictures and post it in another thread.
